• Getting Edwards back is a MUST.

• Trente Jones still has a decision to make, if he's gone, Gentry and Persi battle for the RT spot (or Hinton plays RT and Michigan tries to land a big time LT).

• Rod Moore and Makari Paige both have decisions, hopefully they both come back.

• Must-Have Transfers: QB, WR, CB

• Transfers to Consider: WR #2 or #3, TE #2, EDGE #2, EDGE/OLB #2, NB

...alright, now tear it apart. 😃

Yes, if any ++ athlete can throw well enough to be a legit (not gadget) qb, watch out. Most can't, though.

The Brady thing was hyperbole, but so was your praise of orji based on complete conjecture. Like, let's see him complete a pass (or even be trusted enough to call a few throws).

Maybe you're just being optimistic and I'm combining my response with those "we don't portal qb" comments,  so my bad - we are all on the same side!

Sharrone's gonna inherit a team (make no mistake, Harbaugh is going to the NFL and Warde will hire Sharrone as HC the next day) with a completely decimated offense, but still a quite solid defense.

Harbaugh will take Minter with him to the NFL, so Sharrone's gonna have to find a DC.  Warde, please let Sharrone pay whatever it takes to land a top-notch DC.

Next year we are going to really find out how good an OC (and to some extent an HC) Sharrone really is.  Being an OC on a team who is putting 9 offensive starters into the NFL is one thing. Being the OC of Michigan 2024 will be a monumental task.

I think Moore and Paige are both gone. Edwards was leaning towards returning. With everyone going, he might as well. Mullings will be RB1 next year anyways and Marshall/Hall will be fine as back-up. Marshall will end up being a stud. Cabana can be the home run hitter if Michigan loses Edwards. We’ll see what happens there. I don’t think QB is a must have. Most rosters now don’t have a ton of depth there. Orji will start and you’ll see a lot more Ravens influence on the roster next year. Michigan will look like Ravens-lite. Lots of running and Orji will have rpos turned on which will make him dangerous.

The offense will be just fine next year. Another big body receiver would be nice for Orji, but not necessarily a have to. A solid secondary player would be nice. I think Michigan has starters at all 5 positions, but some depth would be nice. Someone they can rotate in with experience would be nice. Also Michigan does not need any more tight ends. They’re going to be just fine at that position as well. What they could use is a big bodied receiver and a secondary guy. People who are worried about the line, tight end, running backs or LBs shouldn’t worry. All of those spots have guys ready to go. I mentioned last year Michigan might lose a few guys on the line, but they were able to convince them to stick around. Now they’ll get a chance to play a part on the upcoming team.

This post feels like a good reminder that we should just cherish what’s been achieved. We’re 99% headed towards a sizable step back next year and it just is what it is.

The defense should be elite.  You've got Graham, Grant, & Will Johnson with another year of experience.  The Maryland LB coming in to play beside Hausmann.  Derrick Moore & hopefully Josaiah Stewart at Edge.  Keon Sabb at safety.  We need to cover just a few other spots.

If it can hold a Washington-like offense to 13 points, you've got a great shot.

This is honestly what I’m expecting as well. Basically replacing the entire offense and we definitely don’t recruit at a “reload every year” level. Which means we have to develop guys. Team 144 had a ton of long time, experienced veterans who all came back for one more try at the national title. We don’t have a stable of those types of players at all positions ready to replace the ones who move on.

Do our remaining guys have potential? Sure. But potential is not always realized.

I think we need to mentally prepare for several losses next year. It’s a really tough schedule and we very well could have a brand new head coach and other coaching turnover as well.

But all that’s super easy to handle when you’re still basking in a national championship lol.

Biggest issue by far is quarterback - everything else is going to be fine, although depth will be a lot thinner than this year. Michigan rarely goes with a freshman at quarterback, but Davis can play, and a run-heavy offense will take some pressure off him. Also, multiple qbs in the same game is likely going to happen.

Your reminder that Alex Orji can throw a ball 62 yards in the air...going to his left.

He's Joe Milton, but fast (as a runner).

Question is: can Harbaugh, with 3 years of coaching, turn Alex into a 60-65% passer? I say yes.

It's Orji time.

(Still need to hit the portal for a WR, DE, and CB though -- really too bad that Clemons left)

Honest question…what evidence do we have that says Harbaugh can turn guys into high caliber QBs? I haven’t seen that happen once yet here at Michigan. You can point to JJ, but that’s being disingenuous since JJ came in already a great passer and fantastic leader. It’s not like JJ was a scrub and Harbaugh worked magic. If a QB is already a bad passer, I wouldn’t expect any sort of magical turnaround just because Harbaugh. We’d have seen that by now if it was the case.

Plus, that’s all assuming Harbaugh is back next year, and that’s hardly a guarantee right now.

The elephant in the room is we don’t really know about orji and we all have Milton PTSD. Huge qb with a cannon arm with iffy accuracy.

I like this team next year. They 100% can be top 12 and in the playoff. Not as much depth and a ? at qb is concerning.

it’s going to be an interesting offseason.

just remember, we are national effing champs. I’m also hopeful we can do a little portal damage.

Woof offense.  Get that 2004 Wisconsin OC on the line.  We are peak Wisconsin with better helmets on offense.

Defense will reload and be great.

Gotta win a lot of 12-3 wins vs elite teams.

Sabb is guaranteed starter…

donovan and moore are gone

dj waller will be in the 2 deep

marshall will be rb1 if Donovan goes

bellamy needs to go back to safeties when jay leaves with jim to nfl

wrs are underperforming big time the who,e year…cj was awful in postseason but bellamy kept playing him the most snaps.

semaj will be team captain in future

josiah stewart will be best player on team next season

lol...a bunch of wrong in this post.

1. Sabb will surely get starter level snaps, but he's not going to start over Moore or Paige unless one of them leaves...which brings me to...

2. lol multiple insiders on the paid sites have said Donovan, Moore, Paige and Trente Jones are all coming back. But love your sparky confidence, even if it's wildly incorrect.

3. Waller is shown as starting. So yes, he's in the 2-Deep.

4. No, Mullings will.

5. Okay.

6. CJ made two BIG time catches to move the chains versus Washington. One bad drop and it's a terrible postseason. Meanwhile, Sabb has one great game (except for an awful missed tackle) and you're ready to make him Jabrill Peppers, Dax Hill and Tripp Welborne.

7. Not so sure about that one. Just cause he talks a lot of shit doesn't make him an instant leader in the locker room. We shall see.

8. PIPING HOT TAKE!!! 🔥

Mullings would be the starter, not Edwards. Edwards would have the same role in his entire career at Michigan. He's been getting snaps before Edwards in the last couple of games which is telling even though Edwards scored 2 long TDs.
