I knew he was a horse shit football coach. I didn’t know he was a horse shit human being. What a piece of shit. He even admitted to the masturbating, so at the very least he cheated on his wife even if it was consensual. Apparently there were rumors of what a dickbag this guy was back in Colorado. For a school trying to distance itself from a large rape case, hiring this asshole was a very poor choice

MSU imports horseshit culture and pays dearly due to their previous horrific sexual crimes/cover ups. Colorado clears out a terrible coach and in turn gets coach Prime. What a terrible job by MSU and their HR/background search contractor/board for ignoring all the whispers.

I hate MSU, but it's a state funded school that my sister, mother and blue blooded Michigan alumni father all attended. I wish it weren't such a despicable place.

From USA Today:

In his statements to the Title IX investigator, Tucker acknowledged masturbating on the call but said Tracy grossly mischaracterized the episode. According to him, they had consensual “phone sex.”

Umm... bro.

Right.  Brenda Tracy - the sole woman responsible for college athletic programs around the country acknowledging that sexual assault is a thing - is going to agree to phone sex so a man she's only met in business circumstances can jack off to her voice.

This is as unbelievable as the entire Nassar coverup at MSU.

Well, there's always Fox Sports for Mel. Big Noon already employs Urban "The Shocker" Meyer, may as well hire Mel "The Stroker" Tucker to go along with him.

Fox could rename the pregame show to... Shock and awwwwwe.

It sounds like State is taking this very seriously, which is good. Tucker's allegations against her make no sense - borderline absurd. She's really busy with her program across the country and it brings in a lot of funding. She was even in Ann Arbor giving her talk to the Michigan players a few years back.

I know he deserves to have his hearing, but I just don't believe him. I think the conduct of his players during and after games speaks to this credibility. There's been a top-down failure with that program. I think the university wants to change that culture. At least I hope so.

I guess you would have to provide a definition of 'seriously.' MSU has known about the allegations since 2022 and the final report was delivered in July. Reading what there is in the article, if MSU was taking this seriously, then Tucker should have been suspended in July when the report was delivered. I wonder now that it is in the public if Tucker will be suspended now? I credit MSU for not taking Tucker's stance that he was off duty and those actions shouldn't be governed by Title IX but it does seem like MSU was trying to keep this under wraps.

The correlation here is Mel Pearson - why the hell did/would Warde sit on that and try to keep him?  Different situation - Mel did not sexually assault a sexual assault victim, but he did create the wrong atmosphere in the hockey building.  I have to wonder what goes through their heads?

I mean being a married man and having “consensual” phone sex with somebody who you’re not married to is risky enough, but doing it with a woman who speaks on a weekly basis about sexual harassment is just the cherry on top. Galaxy-sized dumbassery.

Psychotic narcissism. Something was always off about that guy with all the selfies and always posting pictures of himself versus the team.  He even kept his assistants’ bonuses.

He also played a guy right after a concussion last week. Maybe this was on his mind.

Now I’m not surprised he has fired any assistants. Probably scared of them talking.

Gross on so many levels Mel, Just flat out nasty.

He admitted to jerking it on the phone with a lady who he was only in contact with him to speak to the team about rape.

But MSU fans want to crap on JJ for wearing a free Harbaugh shirt.

MSU is such trash. The guy admits to masturbating while on the phone with a rape survivor, and you don’t even put him on leave? Insane.

Some of the details about what happened after the masturbation call and his seemingly obvious lies during the investigation (e.g., said he made the call from his home but was really in FL on MSU travel) point strongly to him covering it up, because he knows it’s fireable.

Harbaugh is serving a 3 game suspension for buying a kid hamburger and UM voluntarily suspends him. Here is MSU investigating a rich coach for disgusting behavior with a confession and they didn't bother suspending him until the investigation is done? If what the article says is true, they already have proof to at least suspend him. SMH.

Mel Tugger admits it happened but said it was consensual. He also lied to investigators about where he was when he made the phone call, telling investigators he was at home when in fact he was in a hotel in Florida, acting in his capacity as coach. His lawyers tried to get the investigation stopped, claiming it was a personal matter unrelated to his job .

His lawyers also said the title ix investigator’s report should be rejected because she didn’t ask Tracy her opinion about sexual harassment claims against Izzo, Dantonio and Engler. And Tucker seemingly invented, out of whole cloth, an accusation that ESPN was investigating Tracy’s original story about being raped (which the ESPN reporter in question denied in its entirety). Just crazy stuff.

This is all just really gross and the fact it's Tucker and MSU doesn't take away from the fact someone received unwanted sexual advances from a coach.

That said, MSU's AD is absolutely going to use this to get out of paying any more guaranteed money.
