Boa constrictor was the snake that came to my mind but yes: Michigan is a team that doesn’t necessarily hit you with a lightning strike out of the gate, but good luck escaping from the relentless, grinding, patient pressure. That is down to the coaches and strategy and, as they kept saying on the broadcast, the S&C. Shout out to Ben Herbert, man’s doing something right.

13 &  0, Big10 Champs is what it is about.  Outscored a very motivated Purdue who came to play with a full bag of tricks 29-9 in the second half, when it counted the most.  Good adjustments.  This team plays hard and with poise week in, week out, missing two of its best players and its best player.  Great credit to the staff.

Back to back champions..enough said. These coaches are amazing. It takes a lot of guts the way they play. Never panic. And put their players in the best place to win the game. Next man up on RB is an amazing feat. Kudos to what these coaches were able to do after losing 3 first round quality players. I believe in these coaches to game plan for the playoff. Playoff teams beware.

They know what they're doing. Sounds lame but it can be frustrating at times for us fans with too many run plays and not enough pass but this was another 20+ victory.

It was another second half blowout. They've won 13 straight games and another B1G Championship. Can't argue with the results. They've been PERFECT this season.

This coaching staff, for all our complaints about the schematic stuff  at times, has had this team dialed when the lights have shined the brightest this season (PSU, MSU, Ohio State, Purdue). Credit to them for having these guys ready for the moment.

Jim Harbaugh just walked away from the media and microphones in the post-trophy celebreation, and left only his players to talk to the media.

Almost every other head coach wants to be the center of attention and take credit.

JH is wired differently, in this case in a good way

I saw that moment and thought:  "This guy really does march to his own drummer."

Jim Harbaugh has seemingly changed a lot in the past couple of years.  He's kept his brilliant football mind and competitiveness, but he's mellowed out a lot.  He has always been wired differently, but I think he's hit on a way to channel his personality in a more effective way--the players love him and will do anything for him and for each other.

I'm very glad to see that this has worked for him. It would be great to see him get the big prize.

The first half was frustrating as both teams traded blows. Then Michigan dominated the 2nd half - again. The coaches made the right calls and the players executed well. Great job, all around. Ever upward.

Gus and Joel said it best in the last few minutes of the game:  Over the past two years, Michigan is ELITE and Jim Harbaugh is an ELITE coach.  We have the 2nd best record over that 2-year span, while turning over our starting QB, RB, 2 1st round DE, our top safety and ton of other starters.  That's the sign of an elite program

I don't particularly dislike Purdue and had a feeling they'd show up to play. They did. UM defense stepped up when they had to and that felt like the difference.

Nice win and on to The Playoffs. It feels good to type that.

We are going to have to scheme around the quick releases. Bennett >> Aidan, and Aidan was good. This game didn't make me feel like we had schemes for the coming battles.

I felt like we didn't have a scheme defensively for Purdue, or plays offensively for Anthony, Henning, or Wilson. Just a feel thing, but the coaches could make that happen more maybe. Wilson especially feels undervalued (though JJ could have hit him instead of throwing the INT (Sherrone said as much in JJ's ear when he came to the sideline... meh... next time.)

I'm looking forward to what the coaches will do in December.

In a couple days of football (the worst of which was the LSU failure to cover on the GA block - totally on the LSU coaches) I feel like we have the best coaches in the game. A month will help bring that edge home.

Hot take: Jim Harbaugh will coach his 100th game as Michigan head coach in the college football playoff championship game against Georgia in a month and win the championship. His 100 game milestone will be one to celebrate.

Hate to say this, but Harbaugh needs to be humbled a little bit. He's getting totally fucking obnoxious about this "Godly Mission" bullshit. The more he wins, the more we hear about it. I'm elated about the OSU wins and the state of the program, but like...am I allowed to be? Can I be a fan of this team if I'm not Christian? The whole thing feels rather exclusive, and seems more like a religious cult with every win.

I'm probably going to get negged to death for this but it's how I feel. Crushed that I can't feel as elated about this win as I want to be.

The critique isn’t that it’s not humble. The critique is that it centers Christianity  in a way that excludes and marginalized other beliefs. And that shouldn’t be happening at a public institution, or on its athletic squads. Don’t equate the mission of the institution with your personal mythology. If that’s your personal motivation, fine. But once you equate it with the public/collective, you’re crossing an ethical line.

I get how that could be a turn off for some, but if that is having a major impact on your ability to enjoy this run, you might want to reexamine your priorities. They are finding motivation, and it is working. Whatever our beliefs, being tolerant of what others believe should be a cornerstone of basic human decency, as long as they're not hurting anyone.

Winning with cruelty aside, I don't think they're hurting anyone.

Imagine the coach of Michigan got up and said "This thing right here, this thing you're so happy about, this is all because we have brown hair. Our brown hair gives us powers that help us win, and brown hair is the most correct thing to have." And you don't have brown hair. Wouldn't that put a damper on rooting for them?

It's not a great analogy but the best I can think of

He doesn’t say you have to have brown hair or be Christian or worship a god. He says he does.  Worry about yourself.
At least he follows his beliefs.  He’s antiabortion but recognizes someone need to care for these children. He supports Colin kapnick when most of the nfl deserted him.  He says love freely  which is quite rare for football coaches.   I think these are all great examples for his players to see.
