"The Game" via 125 years of Headlines
If you enjoy Michigan football history, Greg Dooley etc. this will be of interest. It highlights a selection of Michigan Daily front pages following "The Game" since 1897. My first memory of a news event is the Big Ten voting Ohio State into the Rose Bowl in '73 (yes, I'm getting old), but did not know until now that the Ann Arbor City Council officially protested the decision. Anyway, this includes both the good and the bad, and is an interesting overview of the rivalry's ebbs and flows:

That was worth reading just to find out that the punters combined for 1408 yards of punting in the 1950 Snow Bowl game.

That was great: Punting on first down because it gave you a better chance to win if the opponent had the ball in their hands. Ferentz would've been right at home in the Snow Bowl.

LOL. Ferentz keeps footage of that game in his porn collection.

This is very cool and I enjoyed reading it. I didn't realize Woody got hired in 1950! I wonder how much longer he would stayed there if he didn't get fired for punching a player in 1978.
Also sad seeing OSU's prolonged dominance the last 20 years. 2016 is hard to let go.

Woody was on his way out after losing 3 in a row to Bo. The Punch gave OSU the easy excuse to get rid of him.
