Afternoon/Evening game thread
Since there wasnt one already .
Oregon is getting trucked by Georgia . They already look like world beaters . Maybe Oregon is just that bad, but I doubt it .
I wonder if tOsu will do that to Notre Dame tonight .
Arkansas and Cincy are close near the end of the 3rd q
Nebrasky is actually winning , but barely over FCS North Dakota Fighting Hawks .
What are you watching ?
September 3rd, 2022 at 6:40 PM ^
So whatcha watching ?
September 3rd, 2022 at 6:42 PM ^
looks like some heavy rain headed towards Columbus shortly after kickoff. Could make things interesting!
September 3rd, 2022 at 6:48 PM ^
Rocky II.
All the late window games suck.
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:03 PM ^
What am I watching? To kill time, after giving up on the Ducks v Dogs game, YouTube videos of high speed police chases; 140mph +/- top ends with a finale comprising successful pit maneuvers followed by "Show me your hands". Whoosh.

the snowflakes threads are a good idea but they take up too much of the board and stay up to long pushing good post-game topics, evening games, etc off the board too quickly.
suggestion: combine them into 2 instead of 4. so keep, say, 'offense/coaching' as one, 'defense/special teams' as the other.
all in favor, say 'aye', those opposed, same sign...
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:41 PM ^
Yet there are 2-3 other “snowflake” threads about announcing and other topics. D, O, ST and Coaching seem reasonable. Maybe Enemy disappears.
Let’s get the evening thread populated. Lots of good games to get everyone’s input,
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:10 PM ^
Luke McCaffrey playing for Rice. Switched from QB to WR. Has 5 catches against USC already.
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:12 PM ^
Jedd Fisch and Arizona spoiled Brady Hoke and San Diego State's home opener in a new stadium. Looks like the Aztecs' starting QB got knocked out with a shoulder injury and the backup quarterback looked like he didn't belong. Down 18 with 10 minutes left in the game and all SDSU did was run the ball. Arizona dominated...with the exception of this, umm, self-inflicted situation:
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:24 PM ^
Hilarious. Do their special teams get credit for a blocked punt?
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:24 PM ^
Utah / UF showing a lot of promise.
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:32 PM ^
fucc ohio state
September 3rd, 2022 at 8:19 PM ^
Would love to see an asteroid wipe out ohio stadium tonight.
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:35 PM ^
My 2 cents
Bama and UGA are basically the same program now and a step above the rest.
Don't care how many 5* players OSU has, if they're not elite on the D-line and don't play as fast as the $EC giants, they are not in that group. OSU needs to prove they aren't soft under Day.
UM looked good. Hard to judge given the competition, but if JJ is elite, we can take that next step, we have the horses to win the conference again. To compete with Bama and UGA, JJ will need to be a Trevor Lawrence type difference maker.
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:37 PM ^
AUH and UTSA in third overtime. Tons of fun!
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:40 PM ^
I hope Utah just dismantles Florida.
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:43 PM ^
OP,
I don’t see an evening game thread so your ok in my book. Just hoping for an exciting OSU ND game.
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:50 PM ^
Notre Game goes full Harbawll red zone phone booth offense...smh
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:50 PM ^
I know what I should be doing, but I’m sorry, I can’t not root against OhioStank
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:51 PM ^
I thought this new Jim Knowles defense was the greatest ever?
What kind of world are we living in where I would prefer to see Notre Dame win? And to hell with them.
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:56 PM ^
As a Mich fan who also loathes ND, I actually loathe OSU worse, and will 110% always root for whatever team is playing against them.
September 3rd, 2022 at 8:26 PM ^
Same here, except Notre Dame. My hate for the entire institution knows no bounds.
September 3rd, 2022 at 9:33 PM ^
Hate them both and I’m not watching them - I have baseball on the TV.
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:52 PM ^
OSU still soft. Not buying this Knowles narrative.
Will fold like a cheap lawn chair come winter.
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:54 PM ^
Why do ND QBs always look like weak NPCs?
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:54 PM ^
meanwhile wisconsin has 6 yards of offense through the first quarter. that's it. 6. no more. against illinois state. the only reason wisconsin is up 7-0 was a pick-six deep in wisconsin territory. could be trouble brewing in madison.
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:54 PM ^
It seems blitz is the name of the game for OSU. We will see how they do as game progresses.
September 3rd, 2022 at 8:01 PM ^
I noticed this as well. You can only run that stuff so much before teams figure you out.
September 3rd, 2022 at 8:03 PM ^
Don Brown agrees.
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:56 PM ^
Jeez I didn't even realize OSU whored out their new turf field to Safelite auto glass. First the Indians, then Paul Brown Stadium, now this. Tough year for tradition in the state of Ohio. We even lost the Baker Mayfield at home commercials.
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:56 PM ^
Ryan Day inherited a Lamborghini and he’s slowly turning it into a Nissan Altima.
September 3rd, 2022 at 8:02 PM ^
He's determined to build the best version of Texas Tech we've ever seen.
Would be unfortunate if he gets left stranded on 3rd.
September 3rd, 2022 at 8:02 PM ^
Let’s hope
Chicken counting best done after hatching them
September 3rd, 2022 at 8:03 PM ^
Nice! Hoping it will become Geo by November
September 3rd, 2022 at 9:18 PM ^
Ohio State is ranked ahead of Georgia right now LOL
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:57 PM ^
Nice start for the Irish.
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:58 PM ^
After an off-season of OSU slurping by the media and they go three and out on the 1st drive.
September 3rd, 2022 at 8:02 PM ^
But CJ Stroud is the #1 overall pick next April for Carolina....
In other news, when Jack Sawyer makes his first defensive stop will there be an on-field celebration?
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:58 PM ^
OSU OL still dogshit I see
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:59 PM ^
Watching ND/OSU I don't want either one to win. So conflicted. Hope they both suck
September 3rd, 2022 at 8:35 PM ^
We always root against OSU!
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:59 PM ^
ND not taking advantage of their early opps against OSU actually makes me dislike them more...man, this is rough
September 3rd, 2022 at 8:03 PM ^
OSU still looking human under Day. Hope it stays that way.
September 3rd, 2022 at 8:04 PM ^
One thing that’s absolutely true is OSU will not be as great under Day as they were under Meyer. Meyer may not be very likable, but he’s one of the all-time greats. When one of those guys leaves a school, the program inevitably declines. They’ll still be very good, but they won’t be what they were.
September 3rd, 2022 at 8:07 PM ^
I am looking to see how OSU offense responds after that pathetic first drive. They seem to rely too much on big plays and not respecting run game much, except against inferior opponents.
September 3rd, 2022 at 8:07 PM ^
Garbage PI call againat ND...yay and nay
September 3rd, 2022 at 8:09 PM ^
I get the feeling the team from Ohio is gonna jail sex the fightin Rudys.
September 3rd, 2022 at 8:11 PM ^
I'd be shocked if ND keeps it closer than it is right now.
September 3rd, 2022 at 8:12 PM ^
They still look soft. Ryan Day has turned them into a September/October team. Love that we see them in November.
September 3rd, 2022 at 8:13 PM ^
I hate Ohio State so much that it's making me like Notre Dame.
September 3rd, 2022 at 8:58 PM ^
Sick isn't it? I can't help but root for the Domers. BUT I FUCKING HATE ND! Just shows how I feel about Ohio.
