(Off topic) Worst car(s) in history?

Rather than rehash the same old stuff, rooting guide, I'll be the first to admit after the IU loss I am kicking the can and not much into basketball at this time. Is it football season yet?

Worst car(s) produced in history?

My vote is for the Yugo. What say you?

My worst car list...

1. Yogo

2. Pinto

3. Chevette

4. Gremlin

Most of these were made in the same era so there is that, not a lot of memorable cars made in the mid 70's to mid 80's.

Is that based on looks alone?  My sister and her husband has been a avid RV couple for going on 3 decades and they have been rocking Elements for over a decade. Roll 'em up on a dolly and away you go with plenty of extra storage.  They own two of them and told me that they are getting rarer and much more expensive if they're in good shape.

The Vega. You never had to worry about changing the oil. It burned it so fast, you just added a quart with every fill-up.

My nomination is the used '79 Audi Fox my FIL bought my wife when she graduated from U-M and landed her first job.

We naively thought "hey, it's German engineering, it'll be great" but just a few months later we were cursing it daily because we couldn't keep it out of the shop. Complete piece of mechanical crap that my wife wisely dumped a year or so later for an '81 Honda wagon. That was a great car.

Yugo, in the early to mid 1980s. I heard that the Chevy Corvair was a real clunker despite the fact that it was on the market throughout the 1960s.

The 1981 Ford Granada - my first car (bought used from parents) - what a disaster - bad ac/heating, one wheel power drive that spins around in snowy conditions, rusted out in 5 years.

Right now, it's my car, since it needs a new sway bar (among other things that are available), and there is one replacement sway bar for my model IN THE WORLD, and it's allocated to a car in Puerto Rico.

My 1st car was a '76 Pinto. I drove it for about 4 years commuting to college. By the end it was completely rusted out, leaked oil so badly I used to put a pail under the oil pan so I could pour the leaked oil back in, and the brake fluid also leaked so I had to use the emergency brake to stop. Also had to park on an angle or get someone to push me so I could pop the clutch to get it started. Was good on gas though....

My first car was a 1975 Ford Pinto. I was stopped waiting to make a left turn with my blinker on and looked in my mirror and saw a car coming up behind me not slowing down. I had one hand on the door handle when they hit me and I got out in a hurry.  The car didn’t blow, in fact it had no damage at all.  The guys car that hit me, a really nice Camaro, had its whole front end trashed.
