OSU doing their part in rivalry...

OSU is crushing MSU and doing their part in our great rivalry. Now next Saturday it's our turn.  Need smarts by the players and need our fans faith too.

Yeah, I think this is a huge statement to make the week before Michigan. They better not do this to us. I’m hoping it’s like a baseball series. A team scores 19 runs one day, and the next they barely can get a hit.

I'll wait until after the game against the Terps. Meanwhile, OSU is looking like a true Death Star against Sparty. Sparty might as well forfeit the second half. Down 49-0 and looking as bad as ever.

I'm not watching the game, so I don't exactly know what's happening. But I'm guessing Stroud is just sitting back all day and throwing to wide open receivers.

He won't have all day next week. I'm not saying we're going to win, but OSU is beatable. You get pressure on any QB and disrupt their timing, and anything can happen.

You've never watched osu then and forgot that we give up big plays in the run game. Arguably Henderson is the best back we will face this year. They get rid of the ball fast most of the time a good rush won't get there. That being said they still attack vertically and throw in rpo to go with their good running game. It's really the perfect offense especially in college when you can get a personnel mismatch and play with tempo to keep that advantage. It would be nice if Michigan got out of 1990

This is maybe strange to say, but the best way to stop an amazing offense is to have a good offense. Not just because you need to win in a gun fight but also because you need to eat up time of possession so they don’t get 10 drives a half. Michigan in the last 2 iterations of The Game has suffered as a result of their 3 and outs and MSU is getting impaled because their offense is putting their defense in every minute. And on top of it all, defense gets exhausted.

Don’t get your hopes up. It’s not impossible to win, but it’s also not likely. Our roster isn’t ready. Our offense isn’t built to score a lot of points. Our D matches up better than MSU’s, but it’s not elite enough to keep OSU off the board.

If Michigan loses, which is likely, our progress to the goal of getting to an elite level can’t be fairly judged by a result against what may be the best team in the country. If it’s a total humiliation, that is something that can be factored, but not the mere fact of a loss.

To those who argue that it’s unacceptable that Harbaugh has never beaten OSU, I completely agree. But this might not be a year that they are beatable. The losses in 16, 17, and 18 are the ones that really sting, the opportunities that were squandered.

I said at the time in both 16 and 18 that those were the years to seize the opportunity and make the playoff. Those failures continue to haunt the program today. But this year… it’s a tough ask. And if the new staff strategy is the right one, we need to give it time to work.

Yep, 10-2 is an excellent season. I will be eating lemons for months to come.

It's not elite, but this year there are only 2-3 elite teams. If we can stay top-10 and get a Rose Bowl berth, that should help recruiting. Then, we need to continue improving player development and modernizing play-calling and scheme on offense to make it even possible to hang with a team like this.

Yes, it's about the Jimmies and Joes, but it's also, in my view, about the Xs and Os. To be top-10 many years, we can continue as we are, but to have a chance to win the conference and get to the CFP, we have improve in all areas.

The part that is most concerning is the institutional rule-set that seemingly hinders undergraduate transfers. The portal is becoming more and more important, and we are shut out of a big part of it.

Yeah, he ain’t winning and there ain’t anything he can do between now and next week to change it.  Hence why the MSU game was so important— it’s his only chance at a win in a rivalry with ND off the schedule (maybe you count PSU, but I think everyone would agree MSU and OSU are the two big ones every year).  Since he has no chance against OSU, MSU is the super bowl.

I always count PSU as a rivalry game, and that was definitely a good win.

MSU, I don't know what to think.....when the refs take over the game and make game-changing call after game-changing call -- not necessarily in the heat of the moment on bang-bang plays, but with minutes to think about what they want to do -- there's not much that can be done.

But I agree, losing to MSU, especially after the debacle last year, was a kick right in the balls.

Stroud wrapping up the Heisman with two beat downs of the State of Michigan.

Nothing can make me believe Cade can match this OSU offense output.

Beat Maryland and squeeze into the Rose Bowl.

I hope buckeyejohnross and the other OSU fans are thankful for the contingent of Wolverines rooting for OSU in this one.

It's such a close game, I'm not sure OSU would pull out the win otherwise.  A real nail biter.

It’s amazing we didn’t fully exploit just how god awful sparty’s pass defense is. Should have just kept throwing instead of trying to Bo them to death.
