Best of luck at this next level, Kofi.
Upon hearing about Cockburn's declaration, Illinois AD Jon Whitman penned a strongly-worded open letter to the NBA pointing out that since Kofi saw playing time in more games for Illinois then he will in the NBA, the Fighting Illini should be awarded his final year of eligibility
Good. Very good.
“Excellent.”
I fully approve of this message.
Y'know how "sick" sometimes means great?
Your post is "Ill."
I support this comment.
OR y'could say your post is a ... burn. (Fill in the blank.)
His post definitely sounds like he's headed for the NBA and not just going through the draft process
What's the expectation for him? Second round pick? Paint bound center with no shooting ability anywhere outside zero feet.
I have to admit that he's better than me. And at his best he has been a terror. But his NBA ceiling does seem limited.
I won’t go that far. In my driveway, with the rim at 7’ and a no-dribble policy, I give myself 50-50.
He's not on a single draft board, HE'LL BE BACK!

You keep saying this, but he gone.
Yep. Just because a guy isn't on NBA draft boards doesn't necessarily mean they'll want to return. I'm sure many guys like Kofi would rather earn good money in an overseas league rather than return to 'play school' without much more development to be had
Funny that his college stats are much better than Andre Drummond who was drafted 9th overall in 2012 and now Cockburn may not get drafted. Drummond is lucky to get in when he did and get that big contract.
Must be a slow news day.
Hoping he is just one of those guys that is done with college. Basically everyone else on the Illinois roster is leaving as well and Kofi can definitely get a decent contract somewhere.
To hell with draft boards. It’s enough to get away from Underwood.
Illinois won't have to worry about a technicality hurting their chances of a conference title next season.

What a cocky move by him.

That's what pops into my brain whenever I see the back of his jersey.

Good for him. And good for Michigan. He was a big reason why their win was so lopsided against us this season.

Is Hunter going to be clearly the best center in the Big Ten next year? Who else is in the discussion, I think Purdue has their top guy coming back, with Graza gone, Minnesota's guy transferred, who else is in the discussion? Seems like center play for the league could go down a notch. Could Diabate be better than half the centers starting in the Big Ten next season?

This puts us even further above everyone else in the big ten. As long as the freshman live up to their hype it’s gonna be a great season!
