Clemson and FSU - both ACC teams - "disagree" over COVID protocol . . . which is specifically defined by the ACC. WTF?
So no game today.
Hey! I have an idea . . . lets "disagree" over COVID protocol before the Ohio State game.

College game day = Michigan Football will have the 2nd best coaching staff at their game today.

I know it's rutgers but I have an uneasy feeling
November 21st, 2020 at 11:30 AM ^
'Rutgers' isn't the same 'Rutgers' with Schiano as coach. I wouldn't be surprised if they continue to rise up the pecking order with him there. Great, another challenging rival.

Damn they are ripping the players.

Not even interested this morning. The Harbaughffense has finally sucked the joy of football out of me. Didn't even read the UFR's. Was there a UFR this week? I actually don't recall seeing it... Oh well.
At some point in the future, Michigan will change all the coordinators, as if they're the consistent, repeating problem across years of coordinator changes. Three years later, when this same Michigan offense is blowing games the defense isn't strong enough to win on its own, we can talk about the head coach job again.
I'll turn the game on later, just to watch in amazing apathy at our return to battling Rutger, Purdue, and Minnesota for 6th place. Thanks Rich Rod and Hoke!
Oh, wait... Different coach this time.

Not sure if you know this, but coordinators change almost everywhere. It's rare that you have a coordinator stay at a Power 5 school for a long time, because they're either moving up or they're getting fired.
For example, Alabama has had Kiffin, Sarkisian, Daboll, Sarkisian, and Nussmeier all in probably the last 8 years or so (off the top of my head).

Magnus, I think his point wasn’t that coordinator changes are a problem - it’s that we keep changing coordinators and getting the same crappy result, so the problem isn’t the coordinators, it’s the head coach.

Yep...
I’ve defended JH as much as I can. I e said numerous times that he’s tried really hard to get it going on his side - rolling through staff and schemes, and changing the type of players recruited. I still believe he’s doing that! But nonetheless, no matter who’s on the sidelines or on the field, we continue to see the same thing. Still running between the tackles into a stacked line. Still refusing to get the ball quickly into open space. Still refusing to use any kind of tempo or urgency. Still can’t manage the clock better than a high school team.

I'm working 11 to 11 today, no football on my menu...
I'll be sure to check in on the open thread to see how Mich is doing lol

As opposed to how Michigan has done so far and what OSU will do to us? I've been living in disappointment so I'll be alright
November 21st, 2020 at 10:35 AM ^
It is in our DNA - we are far too accustomed to it. I have found that putting hope in IU is a fruitless endeavor as well.
November 21st, 2020 at 10:53 AM ^
It is but my only semblance of joy is an OSU upset. I'm not hinging my happiness on it but I'll sure as hell root for it

You’ll be getting a heavy dose of Penix for 3 straight hours today.

Call your doctor if it goes into overtime.

Hoping OSU gets more Penix than they can handle

Told my wife that she asked where the other 2 hours and 58 minutes was coming from.
November 21st, 2020 at 11:47 AM ^
Me too, but the league will have nothing of it--- they'll make sure they have the "right" crew of refs doing that game.

Really excited for today. Finishing up a large chunk of my final for my 9th of 10 masters degree classes.
That should take me through to the game’s kickoff, where it will be a hyper-competitive game against an equally talented coaching staff/roster in Rutgers!
November 21st, 2020 at 11:12 AM ^
Go you!! You’re almost done!!
November 21st, 2020 at 11:58 AM ^
IU will stick around for a quarter maybe or two but OSU just has too much talent on both sides of the ball to lose. Only the covid can stop them this year.
November 21st, 2020 at 12:04 PM ^
Schiano is a good coach and will have Rutgers ready to go. I think Rutgers wins comfortably by at least 14.
November 21st, 2020 at 12:10 PM ^
I saw Ohio State is a 21 point favorite, that seems nuts. Although me saying a team is going to cover is usually the kiss of death for them doing so.
November 21st, 2020 at 6:46 PM ^
So Desmond said it's not all about coaching at Michigan and that at some point the players need to stand up and be accountable, but isn't that in itself a lack of coaching?
