OT - Small town boy makes good
A kid from my alma mater, the small town of Montrose, MI made the Green Bay Packers roster this season. He played with my oldest son in high school, went to Ferris State and spent last year on the development squad. Due to injuries, he got his first NFL start last night and also pulled in his first NFL career reception. Congratulations to Malik Taylor!

Yeah there is, just walk around until you smell faeces. That's south detroit. The smell is from Ohio.

Am I the only one who interprets this as Downriver?
"Born and raised in the suburbs just south of the city of Detroit." just doesn't have the same ring to it.

There is a southwest Detroit however with a strong Latin- and South American population and amazing food joints. Hmmm...wonder how they've held up in this effing pandemic.

Montrooooose!
That's cool though. I'm from the Flint area. I don't follow the NFL too closely but I had heard of him (unless I'm thinking of someone with a similar name). Didn't know he was from Montrose.

Nice, I first thought this was going to be a little ditty about Jack and Diane....

Please, not again. I could never decide which was the most overplayed song of the last 40+ years: this, or Bob Seger's "Night Moves."

Way back when I was in HS, Montrose had a damned fine wrestling team.

Not very often you open a post on the Internet to find people talking about your little home town. Pretty cool. Congratulations Malik!
