SEC is basically Heathers at this point. They're the more superior as the lonely Big Ten is Mean Girls, the weakest.

SEC SHORTS video. Could've been a little more descriptive there.

Last I checked, the idiots in the southern states (aka $EC country) we’re doing an exceptional job at spreading Covid.

Actually, the sunbelt Covid stats are rapidly improving. Will it be enough to save the SEC football season? Probably not.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-08-18/improving-covid-tren…;
Current Covid deaths per 100,000: (according to CDC)
Michigan - 66
Florida - 46
Georgia -46

Don't see that data in the article you posted.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2020/national/coronavirus-us-ca…
Florida is at 0.72
Georgia is at 0.35
Michigan is at 0.11
Those are deaths per 100,000.
For cases per 100,000 Florida has 3x more than Michigan and Georgia has 5x more.

No masks in the car, I see. Big mistake letting that cute ACC gal (looking at ND, UNC, NC State) in since she is going to give them all COVID.

ACC = Hot on outside, no substance underneath!

These guys are SEC homers, but their stuff is funny. My kids watch them all the time. The Blues Bloods episode is hilarious if you don't mind some good natured ribbing.

People here legit think there will be a season. I’m, of course, skeptical. My response is usually some variation of “yeah, you might play and you might even attend one. You might even save the AD from losing more than it could have. But youll pay for it later when you get sued into oblivion”
August 20th, 2020 at 10:26 PM ^
As far as liability, the financial loss for cancelling the season is a far worse and more tangible consequence than the fear-based possibility of lawsuit damages. One might happen, the other definitely will.
That being said, I'm highly skeptical they will have a complete season. I expect the lockdowns to return full force late-September-October time frame.

I'm getting tired of these southerners and getting less diplomatic. They don't deserve football. I read that Texas, Florida and Georgia - SEC country - now lead the country in cases per capita. So, if they had done anything to stop the goddamn spread of this disease, maybe they could play. But, they didn't and they let it get out of control and turned what could've been a months-long crisis into a year-long national nightmare. So, their penance is they don't get to have their precious football.

The idea is to have herd immunity. You don't get that if you don't have cases.
Covid deaths have gone down in most states, which is the most important statistic.
August 20th, 2020 at 11:00 PM ^
Oh I didn't realize there was a strategy behind these states' flagrantly dangerous and irresponsible behavior.

I'm from Michigan, live in Georgia, I'm a nurse, you're wrong....

Not gonna lie . . . I really liked that. Irresponsible message and all.
