New Hoops Offer: 247 2021 Composite 4-star PG Carter Whitt
This offer I like: the kind of high-return, 4-year kid that Matt EM has referenced. Seems like a good prospect to have in the program who other teams would hate.

That hair, tho....
Would make an awesome mullet if he took a little off the top.
Username checks out as always.
As my father-in-law would say, "That young man needs to find a good barber".
And he would be right to say that
Let’s get right to the important stuff. What do we think about his appearance?
He looks like a girl.
i think if we panned down, he'd be holding one of these:
I dunno man, Josh Perkins seems like a stretch. But if we can get a PG like this for 4 years and have the patience for a development process then it's a great addition--IMO
Basket em balk!
I do not like what this predicts of the chances that Akins end up at Michigan. So, I did not like seeing this offer being made. I am leery about tapes because you only see the good play-but I do like this kid's "good play". This young man purposefully creates excellent opportunities for his teammates, has elite floor vision and is a threat himself to score. Assist stats today are so bloated by kick outs for threes-this young man's assists are real assists...he gets uncontested layups for his team. Athletically, I believe he is underrated-there is that one play where he dunks very quickly and "effortlessly"...tells me the kid can compete well physically.
Seems gritty, coach on the floor, 4 year player.
...brings his hard hat and lunch pail to practice...high basketball IQ...gym rat...
I really like his game, but not his hair. I think some of our guys could give him some hair advice
When I was that age , my hair had a lot of bad days too.
A class of:
PG - Aikens or Whitt
2/3 - Warley and Bufkin
3/4 - Barnes and Tschetter
5 - Reid?
And possibly another spot open for best available or an in-state kid like Legend Geeter. That wouldn't be too bad at all.
Would love to double down on Whitt and Warley. Think it would be a hard sell though.
Sounds good to me, although Aikens seems like a Sparty all the way. A true PG is a huge need.
Warley is combo guard who is likely more of a 1 than a 2
He looks like Pippen or Merry from the Lord of the Rings.
His highlights make him look like a taller Spike Albrecht. Definitely not a bad thing.
I think this is a very good Plan B option. I know how much we all want Akins but I dont think this is necessarily a bad sign for that recruitment. Howard got burned a little bit by going all in on his plan A guys last cycle. It may have been possible we were going to fall out of the Whitt recruitment if we didnt extend an offer.
I have a lot of faith in Howard and I really like what he is doing with this class. Even if we don't ultimately get everyone at the top of our list were still lined up to bring in a lot of talent.
I'm not even sure he's a Plan B. One spot lower than Akins. Sure, getting Akins keeps him from State - but if Whitt wants in now, I don't think they wait for Akins.
Wow, plays just up the road from here. I was not aware of him. Solid offer.
A little worrying that were only starting to bring in "4 year program guys" vs. mixing them in with Top 50 players. This is writing on the wall that things don't look positive with Warley (i.e. Virginia lean still).
Overall, I have some worries about this class, particularly with the class that MSU is bringing in. Might be some rebuilding years in '21 and '22 based on the projected class.
As a general rule the top 50 players commit later in the process than "4 year program guys". Getting high quality 4 year players early in the process and shooting for high 4 & 5 star guys later on is a very solid strategy.
