Defense wins championships. The forechecking and depth of the canucks overwhelmed teams. Man i am depressed right now. I hate my life at the moment. I just busted into the irish coffee.

It is going to be a long four years until South Korea. I hate Crosby and the Canadian hockey team with a fire of a thousand suns. This has been the most depressing three days of hockey in my life. I am going to start drinking now. I am depressed right now.
Congrats canada, now watch as another American NHL team wins the cup.
February 23rd, 2014 at 9:34 AM ^
because the winning team will have more Canadians on it than any other nationality.
February 23rd, 2014 at 9:37 AM ^
wait until we Americans kick your ass at the next Junior championships.
I think I am going to drink myself to death tonight. WORST DAY EVER.

Sorry, we only win WJC championships in groups of five.
February 23rd, 2014 at 9:50 AM ^
ouch haven't won the gold medal at the WJC since 2009 and medaled since 2012.

Clearly this is impacting our NHL performance at a national level and our Olympic performance.
Maybe you guys can pull off an IIHF championship as well. You know, your women win a lot of those when not winning Olympic titles also.

We will see when more of the USA Development Program alums transition to the senior level. JMFJ, JVR, Kessel, Kane, Howard, and Fowler making an impact. Goaltending has been a strength of the US Development program in recent years. Jack Campbell needs to step at the professional and senior level.
We could win a lot more IIHF women titles if Canada would stop punking us at the championships. They need to start allowing checking for women.

We have seen the results.

Not at the senior level when the NTDP alumni make up 20% of the team USA roster. Thanks for playing though.

Go away. Most annoying teams ever. Kinda sad since they are so close but true.

What you really mean is:
"Now they can finally stop winning"
Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.

They already do have a world championship. USA is the reigning back-to-back champions. Japan is actually a power in American football.

Ok, I had fun trash talking with you Canadian hosers. Congrats on the gold. See you in four years in South Korea. With a more feverent rivalry ramping up between the USA and Canada in both the senior and junior brackets of hockey, it should be a fun tournament.
Carl Hagelin can now say he is a medal winning Olympian.
