OSU also wished they looked like Michigan mid-way through last season.
Things change over the course of the season.

Watching Brandon Peters be the QB that we should have kept
September 14th, 2019 at 12:43 PM ^
Peters looks slow and indecisive
September 14th, 2019 at 12:51 PM ^
If he looks slow and indecisive I wonder what you think of Shea
September 14th, 2019 at 1:05 PM ^
Faster and stronger arm, since you asked
September 14th, 2019 at 12:56 PM ^
They've given him a simple offense where he's getting the ball to playmakers, AKA Speed in Space. What's Shea's problem?
September 14th, 2019 at 12:45 PM ^
Peters is perfect for Illinois. Zero expectations for him there. At Michigan he was expected to be the guy and win B1G championships, he just quite couldn’t handle it. He can play with no pressure at Illinois, because who expects them to win anything? I wish him the best.
September 14th, 2019 at 12:51 PM ^
He would have been the guy if Harbaugh allowed him the chance to grow as a QB instead he chose Shea who has turned out to be a horrible decision
September 14th, 2019 at 12:55 PM ^
Horrible decision based on what? He has lost 2 games in his career (set aside the bowl game). First game in a hostile environment, against a playoff team. Last game when the defense totally bailed. I’m sure Peters would have done much better than that...
September 14th, 2019 at 1:16 PM ^
Based on feelings.. the poster you’re responding too has dogged on Shea & proclaimed peters superior against all facts, common sense & logic.
September 14th, 2019 at 1:41 PM ^
With the defense we had last year we would have had the same or a better record with Peters our Dylan starting.. Don’t talk as if he played out of this world, he gave us average QB play and so far through 2 games he has regressed...
September 14th, 2019 at 2:19 PM ^
You’re the only one making ridiculous claims. Shea has a lot of room for improvement & it’s yet to be seen if he’s capable of making it. Doesn’t change the fact that thus far, he is a superior QB to both Peters & Dylan.
September 14th, 2019 at 2:47 PM ^
You’re still standing by your point after this abysmal showing vs EMU? He had one GREAT throw, good for him. I’m very happy he landed on his feet and got a starting gig at a mid level MAC school. By all accounts he’s a great kid, just not a better QB than Shea. Your Schtick is thick!
September 14th, 2019 at 12:51 PM ^
Indiana, underdog at home with B1G rival.
Don't count them out yet.
September 14th, 2019 at 4:19 PM ^
Uh, can we count them out now? That pick six sealed it at 51-10 I think.
September 14th, 2019 at 12:52 PM ^
TD EMU! Go Hurons!
September 14th, 2019 at 3:05 PM ^
Again! Kicking Illini ass.
September 14th, 2019 at 12:54 PM ^
Locksley isnt such a genius afterall.
September 14th, 2019 at 12:54 PM ^
My hot takes at the end of the first quarter:
- Eastern Michigan has a receiver who’s torching Illinois. Illinois’ defense looks baaaad.
- Pump the brakes on OSU. Indiana is moving the ball and they’re stopping Fields a bit. This is not Clemson.
- Maryland no longer concerns me.
September 14th, 2019 at 1:14 PM ^
An unfortunate update for ya: OSU decided to dominate
September 14th, 2019 at 12:58 PM ^
Bye week is the winner
Thank God for bye week.
September 14th, 2019 at 1:06 PM ^
too bad indiana doesnt have penix this game wouldve been harder for the buckeyes. Theyll win this by 30+
September 14th, 2019 at 1:17 PM ^
Is Penix hurt? That would definitely be debilitating for Indiana.
September 14th, 2019 at 1:07 PM ^
Olave gives me BPONE induced PTSD
September 14th, 2019 at 1:14 PM ^
And he is a Sophomore.....
September 14th, 2019 at 1:11 PM ^
Osu opening up on on Indiana, just completely dominating. Psu defense looking as expected and Pitt can’t do shit. Will be a slow motion blow out that penn state is never really threatened
September 14th, 2019 at 1:13 PM ^
IU's not playing that badly. The blocked punt hurts though.
September 14th, 2019 at 1:18 PM ^
No, they got a safety on the blocked punt
Edit - comment above previously stated OSU I wasn’t doing much, they got a TD off of the blocked punt. (It was a safety)
September 14th, 2019 at 1:12 PM ^
This is embarrassing! Teams all over the country are going up and down the field with ease and Michigan has yet to muster even a single first-down! UNACCEPTABLE!!!
September 14th, 2019 at 2:01 PM ^
Chapeau Larry. Perfection.
September 14th, 2019 at 2:38 PM ^
I’m a bit surprised I haven’t gotten a “I know you’re being sarcastic, but …” yet.
September 14th, 2019 at 1:13 PM ^
Michigan has a hell of a long way to go to be as good as a lot of other teams in the conference. Anyone who says, I’m not worried about team x because they are only up four in the first quarter apparently didn’t watch Michigan play army. I think people hate Michigan fans for the arrogance. I think I’ll feel safe about saying Maryland or penn state or whoever sucks when they lose 5 games. Right now, I agree that Michigan will beat Illinois and Rutgers. Otherwise, I’ll root against MSU and Ohio state etc. but I think Michigan has a hell of a ways to go before I’ll claim they somehow are better than teams like MSU, Penn St. Maryland etc
September 14th, 2019 at 1:15 PM ^
Army was the toughest out of conference game for any of the big 10 teams. they will end up 10-2 at worst. But youre right michigan needs to improve fast
September 14th, 2019 at 1:19 PM ^
Army could go 11-1
Phil Steele had their SOS ranked 128th before the season started.
September 14th, 2019 at 2:41 PM ^
Stop! Army is a decent team and they’ll finish with that record because their schedule is pretty weak. Also, did you forget we play ND this year? That will be the toughest game any B1G team will play out of conference!
September 14th, 2019 at 1:14 PM ^
I was told Justin fields is not good. Fuck.
September 14th, 2019 at 1:18 PM ^
OSU score will be worse than last year. Fields is like an actually good version of Patterson who actually hits receivers and actually keeps the ball on a zone read when needed. Ugh.
September 14th, 2019 at 1:18 PM ^
RIP hot takes about Maryland having an unstoppable offense while Michigan's offense stinks.
September 14th, 2019 at 1:30 PM ^
Zero points and zero 3rd down conversions in the first half. Against Temple.
September 14th, 2019 at 1:31 PM ^
...and they just barely converted a 3rd down with 1 min left in the half.
September 14th, 2019 at 2:14 PM ^
Yeah thank god - but they'll be replaced by other hot takes about whatever other team scores 60 this week.
Fans never change.
September 14th, 2019 at 1:19 PM ^
So, I turned on the Illinois game to see how Brandon Peters has apparently become a Heisman candidate . . . and I see that Illinois is losing to Eastern (!) and is 1-5 on third downs. Yeah, OK.
September 14th, 2019 at 1:35 PM ^
Peters' play has been very good. He's not the reason they are down.
September 14th, 2019 at 1:39 PM ^
They're 1-6 on third downs. That may not be all on him but it's not great. We wouldn't be happy with that.
EDIT: And then Lovie Smith showed so much trust in the future Heisman winner that he called a running play with 6 seconds left in the half with the ball at midfield.
September 14th, 2019 at 1:57 PM ^
Yes, but according to people on here its everyone else's fault but Peters but when Michigan struggles it's all Shea's fault.
September 14th, 2019 at 2:34 PM ^
Funny how fans can conveniently forget the deer in headlights look that Peters often gave us when he played here.
September 14th, 2019 at 1:19 PM ^
i can see why ramsey lost the qb batlle in the fall holy shit is he bad
September 14th, 2019 at 1:27 PM ^
Eastern's kicker just drilled a 52 yarder. Good from like, 58?
September 14th, 2019 at 1:28 PM ^
Ohio State just keeps getting better every year. Plug and play for that team. We fucked.
