Zach Attack, MLive article about Charbonnet
Before the Michigan head coach was even asked about freshman running back Zach Charbonnet, Harbaugh, unprompted, offered more positive reviews for his performance in Saturday's 40-21 win over Middle Tennessee State.
After watching the film, Harbaugh said Charbonnet was 9 for 9 in blitz pickups in pass protection.

Coach Harbs is drinking the Charbonnet ?
Doug Skene wants to lay off the blue Kool Aid, but no one can resist the Charbonnet

Who the hell is Doug Skene?
edit: sorry don’t have a rivals subscription. Former All Big ten olinemen from the 80s.

For shame

No. For Michigan.

I like a crisp Charbonnet on a fall Saturday. Pairs well with charcuterie.

I hope he sees the lions share of carries against Army. Im sure that Turner needs to hone his skill as well, I just don't see how Wilson gets a lot going into the future barring an injury.

Maybe the Lion's share of their carries in 4 years?

"...I just don't see how Wilson gets a lot going into the future barring an injury"
This was my initial thought Sunday morning, that Wilson's glory days as a RB1/RB2 are done. If it's tru that a hand injury moved him out of the #1 spot, then that sucks for him because he's not going to ever regain RB1... I'll say it now - he gets spot duty behind Charbonnet and Turner for the rest of the year (barring injury, of course).

Just to set the mood girl I brought some Marvin Gaye and Charbonnet, HOL UP HOL UP HOL UP.
We need the remix, Sean!

I'll raise you Al Green.

Yeah, Charbonnet had some nice blitz pickups--he's appears as comfortable blocking as running! Unusual and wonderful.
So long as he's out there on 3rd down, I'd love to see a wheel route or too tossed his direction. OSU might be a good time. Maybe even Wisconsin.

I don't think Zach is every going to get "Clowneyed". He may deliver some hit highlights of his own.

If Charbonnet can blitz pickup like that all the time...man, that's just greatness in the making
September 2nd, 2019 at 6:45 PM ^
Not to be a nit picker but Haskins had a big problem with his blitz pickup, whiffing on an inside rush that buried Patterson after his teammates had been all good on similar blocks. But hey, live and learn for another game day.

I’m pretty sure he dropped from 4th to 5th (behind VanSumeren) in the rotation before the 3rd quarter ended.

Yeah, I caught that too. Him and All made it pretty clear that they're not terribly interested in blocking. And if I can pick that up, the coaches saw 9276402x more than I did.

Kid's the real deal. Vision, speed, agility, toughness when he runs. Blocking. I think he caught a ball out of the backfield that, if thrown better, would have been a big play.
Kid's got alligator blood. Pay that man his money (on Sundays).

Well let him play more ... I didn’t like seeing 6 different RBs sub in when Charbonnet was beasting

He is the first real complete package running back we've had at Michigan in a looooong time.

While I'm excited too, let's not get ahead of ourselves after one game (against MTSU).
September 2nd, 2019 at 10:18 PM ^
Turner, Wilson, VanSumeren, and Haskins were also playing against MTSU.

Turner did well too...maybe UM has TWO complete backs for the first time in a long time. Time will tell...
September 2nd, 2019 at 7:59 PM ^
Ok, so let's get him over 100 this week.

For a quick comparison point on Charbonnet's pass-blocking ability, let's get a comparison in here.
Check out his would-be counterpart in the backfield of this year's Michigan recruiting class, Eric Gray, at 20:56 of this clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5alLAo_enI&t=20m56s
Yikes.
