Props to Coach Harbaugh for taking the time to respond to fanmail...can't honestly say I wouldn't file emails like this in the circular file if it was me

If that email had read "not only did I just fire Pep Hamilton, but I kicked his ass right in Schembechler Hall before I tossed him out of the building", it would have been more satisfying.

Sending a Yahoo article to a coach about  how to do his job seems very weird to me. "Respectfully, I think you're a moron who doesn't know how to coach."

If real, cool. I like that. Steve Jobs used to answer his Apple email. Responded to my dad once.

I am skeptical about this, though. He signed off "Jim Harbaugh"?

I think Jim Harbaugh signing off an email as Jim Harbaugh is not only HIGHLY suspicious, but is almost irrefutable and incontrovertible evidence that it cannot possibly really be Jim Harbaugh! You are a fucking BLOODHOUND, Sherlock, a bloodhound I tell ya!

Y'know, Harbaugh is right that the team made strides in 2018. Preseason, most of us expected we'd go something ~9-3 in the regular season and the AP Poll had us behind four B10 teams. Coming off an 8-5 season in 2017, I think the goal was just to get consistent QB play, have players develop, and try to win as many games as possible without any real expectations considering we had to travel to ND, MSU, and OSU, as well as play tough Wisconsin and Penn State teams at home.

I'm just spitballing here, but I feel that the close loss to ND in week one followed by the string of blowout wins might have left the coaching and players too sure of themselves and their play-style going into OSU. And once that blowout occurred and we were sent to play a perceived non-challenge in Florida again in the Peach on the 29th where some of the best players sat out, that set us ripe for another blowout.

But I think the blowouts in the last two games against elite opponents hopefully help Harbaugh and the players push the team in the right direction going into 2019. Offense has become too explosive in NCAAF and the NFL, and the team has to follow suit. And on the defensive side, even the vaunted Bears defense gave up 300+ total yards against the Eagles. Heck Clemson let Alabama run up and down the field, but made the stops that mattered. It's all about making critical stops on 3rd/4th downs and restricting TDs to FGs.

There are so many miserable angry fans on this board. Give the guy credit - he actually responded to a fan's email, and instead of Brandoning him and telling him he's a dumbass, he acknowledged that the offense needs to progress and that he is working on it. but you all want to quibble about whether or not he as actually done anything to improve the offense last year. Have you even been watching?!? Our offense was way better than it has been in several years. It isn't perfect (which he acknowledged) but it is better in just about every measurable way.

Jim Harbaugh didn't owe the guy a response, and he certainly doesn't owe all you offensive experts sitting in your cubicles posting on fan message boards while you probably should be working at your own jobs any answers either.  Good lord, people, relax, have a beer, and enjoy the fact that James Harbaugh has taken us to at least a respectable level in 4 years from a pit of dispair.
