Where was Aubrey Solomon Yesterday?
I apologize if this was already discussed in one of the many threads about the game yesterday, but I didn't see Solomon in the game once. My understanding was that he was healthy again, and when he's healthy he is a really good player -- much more dynamic than Mone. Do we know where he was or what was wrong with him? Or did he play and I just overlooked it?

He was the injured DT referenced on multiple threads Friday and Saturday.

He had a boo boo.

And when they have boo-boos, you can’t touch players, and when you can’t touch players, you can’t hear football.

Brady, can you take us inside the locker room ... what was your goal coming out with just seven minutes and change left in the game?
We tried to- we fed the kids a little bit. They ate some stuff that’s good for them to eat so that they can go out and play.

This, this - a thousand times this! Thanks for making me laugh. Hands down the best quote in a press conference ever. Even beats "Playoffs?!" in my humble opinion.

The only DT who could get a push and help close the pocket instead I watched Mone and company get stoned by the crappiest OSU OL in Meyers career each and every time.

Where was everyone else too? I think they all had boo boos.

I don't think he travelled with the team. Don't know if he's still sick, an injury, or if something else is going on with him.

Solomon has been banged up all year. He was coming on last season, hope he's not a transfer candidate. He'll be a junior next season and we haven't gotten much production out of him at all yet. 5 star kid who we need to not bust.

If fully healthy, he will be a monster next year.

He needs to get a lot stronger and explosive next year to become a monster. His foot speed isn't anything to write home about. If you cant beat the good teams offensive lines with power you need speed. I'm no expert but I think the plyometric program upgrade needs to be considered by Herbert on the interior defensive line. Mone's walk is faster than his run on the field. I bet you're saying that's not possible. Think again.

where was the entire d-line for that matter? chase made a couple plays, but nobody else showed up

Injured versus IU and went to the locker room after leaving the game and also falling to his knees in pain on the sideline. Given that his original issue was a knee, the heuristics could be bad. Fingers crossed it's not. And good vibes and hope to him. He's very important to Michigan next year.

Does anyone know if he’s a redshirt candidate? I don’t remember how many games he’s played but it doesn’t seem like he’s played in more than 4 or 5.

I don't recall Lawrence Marshall playing either. I guess lack of depth caught up to us.

Michigan desperately needs him to be 100% next year, and they need him to be a beast on the interior. He looked to be a guy that can disengage from blocks and get to the QB. We couldn’t get to Haskins and he dominated us.
The coaches need to develop him to play similar to Maurice Hurst. A play-making defensive tackle. Not just a guy who takes up space.

He has been hurt is whole career.

I wish we had Mo Hurst just a little longer.

OSU schemed it so our DL was neutralized in pass rush. They tooled us with speed and tempo, and had way better athletes at WR versus our safeties and OLBs. 8 major chunk plays from yards after catch or jet sweep that killed us for 56 points.

Osu takes 3 films normally...Sideline/Scoreboard/Endzone, the Jumbotrons at Michigan often show Don Brown "pre play". Michigan runs play, Osu knows signal. Osu had about 60% of Michigan sideline signals down, their Line and Qb had a very high probability of guessing what Michigan was doing each play. Maybe a reason why Michigan's d line looked invisible yesterday?

This sounds too specific to be a total guess, where are you getting this?
November 26th, 2018 at 10:39 AM ^
The better question to ask was where in the hell was the entire defensive line on Saturday.
