Did anyone else like the Ref body cam's?

Helpful for somethings - but might encourage ball watching by some of the referees when they need to pay more attention to other things - waiting for the official boxscore PDF for the penalties.

Most of the shots were from the Umpire position. Since the Umpire is mostly watching the line It shouldn't be a problem.

Thought they we pretty cool. Where are they attached?

In or on the hat.

You could see them clipped on top of the bill of the hat. I am pretty sure they had them during the Wisconsin game also.

One of the announcers mentioned it was a hat cam.

I like the perspective, but it seems like it shouldn't be *that* hard to boost the resolution and stabilize the picture. Hopefully this is some sort of prototype and they actually invest in better camera tech at some point.

That's all possible in theory, but its also pretty hard/impossible without having the refs wear some sort of larger device. Right now, its just a really small camera on the bill of their hat.

I did.

I love those. They are a great perspective

I think it adds a nice element to the viewing experience.

Remove the "cam's?" From the title and you get a funny title.

Aside from what seems to be more frequent commercial breaks, I definitely prefer Fox’s broadcast over ESPN. Also, Klatt is a better color guy than anyone at the WWL

I liked the QB right and QB left cams better, but the ref cam was ok too

I really liked it. Thought it was really cool to see what they see.

Very much. Wait until one gets run over by Bench

I’d rather see into their soul.

It's a good idea. They can be held accountable now by the B1G for what is actually right in front of their dumbasses. The B1G will probably fuck it up because they'll watch the replays too and not know what the hell they are seeing. Fricking idiots.

FWIW, I liked the split screen they used to shot the QBs view and what the WRs we're going through. Really neat view...

I liked it. I was wondering if they can use them for instant replay? Additional angles are always helpful.

What was the impetus behind these cams? Just a cool innovation by Fox? I can see them being used by B1G and others to grade ref performance. Not a bad thing. Improve, rather than replace, refs with technology, if that's indeed what will happen.
