I just do not get why Michigan was not using this offense all year. These plays would have kept teams from sending the house after Devin.

WE are playing great so far on offense

Hate to say it but so far Al Borges has called a masterful game. Lets see if he can do it for 4 quarters. Defense has to step it up. Oh the irony

Were we just sandbagging all year?
I know the Ohio game means everything, but this is ridiculous.
November 30th, 2013 at 12:50 PM ^
So let me get this straight. The game is basically looking like a freaking shootout and Borges is holding his own? And Mattison is getting used?
Am I in opposite world? Am I now mGrowYoung? Are burritos good for me? Can I keep drinking without stopping.

we won't score another point, much less gain first downs, after halftime......it's the Al BOREges plan of action
November 30th, 2013 at 12:53 PM ^
I agree that the key will be to see how the second half is played. We have been historically bad in adjusting to the way opposing teams adjust to us.
I came in expecting a blowout. . . My expectations were low and my defensive guard was up. Now I'm feeling emotionaly vulnerable again . . .

Kinda of funny how when the blocking is superb, the offense seems to really take off, isn't it?
November 30th, 2013 at 12:55 PM ^
Agreed. But why is the blocking "taking off"? What changed?
Either way this is wonderful.
November 30th, 2013 at 12:59 PM ^
We've just been executing better. It's that simple. Guys are picking up the proper assignments and winning at the point of attack.
Sometimes it's that simple.
November 30th, 2013 at 12:55 PM ^
No, it is kinda funny how the screen game keeps other teams from using nine man boxes and sending a blitz every play. The offensive line has pressure taken off of them by the playcalling that Borges refused to use all year for some reason, until today.
November 30th, 2013 at 12:58 PM ^
We've been using the screen game all year in case you haven't been paying attention (You haven't, I know).
Kind of funny how actually making open field blocks in the screen game opens up the screen game.

I'm so happy with our offense - individual players making great play after great play.
But, I'm just so confused with what I'm seeing.
Where has this been all year?
November 30th, 2013 at 12:54 PM ^
It is pissing me off we could have been way better this year if Al opened this offense up

Using screens to set up other plays. Who would have ever thought this style of offense would work? Oh, everyone but Borges until today.
November 30th, 2013 at 1:00 PM ^
We haven't been throwing lots of screens? Really. TIL.

If we stop giving up huge plays (i.e. put Gordon and Wilson in forever).....I'm going to get my hopes up
