USC WR Marqise Lee injured shoulder
USC WR and 2012 Biletnikoff Award winner Marqise Lee injured his shoulder yesterday at practice. USC already lost WRs George Farmer and Steven Mitchell to torn ACLs earlier this year. Their WR depth chart is extremely limited with the scholarship sanctions, and Lee is probably the best player on the team. Going to be an interesting year for USC and Kiffin.

The way they described how it happened sounded like a separated shoulder. They said there was no big collision and that he just kind of landed on it and needed to be carted off. The thing about separated shoulders is that at the right angle of impact it doesn't require much force to do the job.
Or as the article says it could be a bad bruise. I have seen it go both ways.

I want to beat the piss out of that school in the Rose Bowl

Personally, I'd prefer to watching OSU having to play them in the Rose Bowl.. Because we are playing Oregon in the National Title game

That might be up for debate, but what's not up for debate is the fact that Lane Kiffin is a douchebag.

So far, this is just a practice boo boo. Not until we find out it is serious does it mean anything. And I certainly wish Lee the best and pray for a speedy return.

but I thought it was newsworthy considering how vital he is to USC and USC's WR depth issues.

My dislike for SC and Kiffin aside..........I hope Lee recovers quickly as he is a fun WR to watch on the field.

Agreed.
Lee is one of the most exciting players in the country, and it's a shame that he's hurt. I don't think USC is going to be that good this year, but Lee was a reason to watch them. His performance against Arizona last year was unbelievable and one of the best single game performances I've seen.

UCLA - it's your big chance again!

Losing Marquise Lee for any extended period would potentially stunt USC's passing attack since Lee accounts for almost half of their receiving yards, and with Robert Woods now gone to the NFL, there is not much left in the way of significant contributors (save for Agholor and maybe Grimble), at least from last year - Lee and Woods were almost 70% of all reception yards and receiving TDs.
According to the Sporting News, Lee supposedly told his team that he would be "fine", although other reports said that he had his arm in a sling. Couldn't find much else on it.

until they cut Kiffin loose. I still can't believe they hired that clown

That pattern worked out well for Oklahoma (and I'm sure other teams as well). Get some clown who can't really coach but recruits like the dickens (John Blake--likely some cheating involved), follow him up with a HC who assembles a a top-notch coaching staff (Bob Stoops with Mike Leach as OC), profit.

Losing edit privs is a huge loss...
USC loses to OSU (ntheOSU), Arizona State, ND, Stanford, UCLA and one of the following (Cal, Arizona or either Utah school.) New QBs aren't good QBs - especially when Kessler beats out Browne and Wittek.
Agholor is great but without Lee he would be on an island.
Rojo and Perry's loss...they would have made a difference at Michigan.
