Maybe those MSU fans who said Cousins is better than Forcier have a point...
Sure, if they're relying solely upon passer efficiency ratings.
But if they're actually watching the games that have been played, then no, they don't.

Two weeks of games is statistically insignificant. Furthermore, there is an obvious bias in sampling betwwen Michigan's schedule and Michigan State's schedule thus far. This comment is simply stupid. It's like saying that Harding was a better president than Lincoln because the Harding presided over more economic improvement.

There was a thread on this here blog that said (and I paraphrase): "Ha ha MSU fans are dumb they think Cousins is better than Forcier rofl." The point is, Michigan fans shouldn't be so quick to dismiss the notion that an MSU player just might be good at football, too.
I know these aren't final statistics. They only show two weeks of games. I'm well aware.
If I said "Brandon Minor is statistically our best running back," that doesn't mean that he'll have the most yards at the end of the season. That means that, currently, he has the best stats.

BOOM negbanged.

...or at the very least, reference what you are responding to. As you provided no context, I assumed that you were making a preliminary conclusion based on one piece of flimsy statistical data while ignoring all other quantifiable and qualifiable data and observations.
I won't negbang you, as I have done the same thing myself on several occasions, but seriously, you need to clarify your points.

1) Ummm...not for long.
2) Jesus really is good at everything!
3) Hopefully he'll go pro after this year.
6) Impressive, although I still think Nichol is the better option for them.
21) If Tate can hang around this part of the rankings, Michigan will have a great year. True freshman ahead of veterans like Clark who have played lesser competition in the first two weeks? Fogettaboutit!
22) meh
28) Impressive for first time starter on a team that has struggled the first couple of weeks.
55) Would be higher if he hadn't played in the shoe.
79) Bad sign for tOSU
88) Not surprised.

If MSU can lose to a MAC team at home when their QB has the #6 best passing performance in the country, imagine how they will suck when he has a bad day.

crazy ridiculous.

They will get to sort this out in a few weeks.

Michigan is 2 - 0 with Forcier as the primary QB. State is 1 - 1 with Cousins (& Nichol). Now if this were fantasy football then Cousins would be a good choice.

I'd reserve judgment on Cousins until he plays a defense with a pulse

Pass efficiency is not the be all-end all stats for QB's like it is sometimes used as.
September 14th, 2009 at 9:29 AM ^
who has more moxie?

Don't look now, but check out Jimmah...dudes got some ridiculous stats. I still can't believe we beat dem Irish. What a game!

Jimmah, despite all the Yakety Sax and lulz from the goings on in his first 2 years, is a very talented, very good quarterback. He is the perfect QB for Weis' pro-style offense.
