A Bama-ND BCS Championship Game?
K-state is not going to make it to unbeaten; Oregon looks unlikely too that it would maintain unbeaten.
Of course USC is waiting for ND but USC looked just plain ordinary.
Alabama will meet (and beat) Auburn (hey, give us Derick Green!), and it will beat Georgia for SEC championship.
Of all scenarios, an Alabama-ND match probably is the worst that Brian Kelly can get.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:46 PM ^
Beat Ohio! That's all that matters now.

Root for West Virginia right now?
November 17th, 2012 at 10:20 PM ^
...it would be beneficial for Oklahoma to lose (WVU) as well as Stanford (Oregon), Oregon St (Cal), and Texas (Thurs, TCU). We already will jump two spots thanks to losses by Louisiana Tech and USC. So officially, two down and five to go.
November 17th, 2012 at 10:21 PM ^
This is why I was rooting for Bama last week. You just knew one of them would blow it. KSU and Oregon may still pull it out, but they are mentally unprepared tonight and it doesn't look like KSU especially is going to hold up. I could put up with SEC talk for a long time over ND talk.
And I doubt that ND being 12-0 or 11-1 is going to do anything to our computer ranking. Don't the computers already like us? Besides that, I doubt a 9-3 Michigan team ranked 14th would get an at large this year with as bad as the B1G is. But you never know I guess.
November 17th, 2012 at 10:38 PM ^
Based on the number of SEC teams in the top 14 and factoring in Autobids...only 1 non-SEC top 14 team wont make a BCS game (as it stands). So...they're probably in if they crack 14.
November 17th, 2012 at 10:42 PM ^
Alright. I still fail to see how the ND game next week will affect that at all. There can't be that much of a change in computer rankings.

Notre Dame's chances for a win next weekend got a lot better.

I think my high school played better defense than Kansas State.
November 17th, 2012 at 10:41 PM ^
I'm sorry, but there's no way a roster chock full of 3-stars remains unbeaten and number 1 in the nation. Colin Klein is good. Very good. But it's tough to go unbeaten.
November 17th, 2012 at 10:41 PM ^
The two must insufferable fan bases in the world. This must not happen.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:34 PM ^
Looks like it's going to happen. Fuck it all.
November 17th, 2012 at 10:42 PM ^
Either of those teams going to the national title game would be a nightmare for me, especially Notre Dame.
As the refs were gift wrapping that win for ND over a crappy Pitt team and the announcers were saying this ND team was a team of destiny, I literally wanted to bang my head against the wall. If they go to the title game....GOD, I can't even think about it.
November 17th, 2012 at 10:45 PM ^
Looks like Kansas State is done. Blasted shame; Notre Dame now controls its own fate. As long as Oregon doesn't blow it, they'll be the ones nuking Notre Dame in the MNC game. If not... OP is right, and Alabama will probably repeat, and we'll have to endure another year of SEC media whoring bullshit.
November 17th, 2012 at 10:45 PM ^
So far a defensive game with a ton of turnovers (fumbles, INTs).
November 17th, 2012 at 10:52 PM ^
Jesus, who broke Kansas State?

I hope so. But USC has forgotten how to play defense.

were originally suppose to for Oregon. Oregon has proven to be one of the best teams in the nation with amazing speed and an ability to score at will. They've had several top 25 victories in the Pac 12 not to mention leading the nation in points per game. Oregon should of been 1st after Alabama lost.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:15 PM ^
Beat up the lousy nonconference teams, win one big one, make it into the top two, and then lay and big fat deuce to an unranked foe. It will all hold serve if they're shut out of the BCS, gripe about it, and then lose to Purdue in the Weedeater Bowl.

Notre Dame about to become the new #1.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:49 PM ^
I'd imagine K State falls a lot. Not sure how far Oregon falls, but ESS EEE CEE could be 2,3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. So, either we get ND vs. ESS EEE CEE or ESS EEE CEE vs. ESS EEE CEE in NCG. Ugh!

November 17th, 2012 at 11:35 PM ^
If ND wins the NC they will be the luckiest team all time. God that would suck. Wish Oregon would win, tired of the SEC as well. Sucks that the rest of the top 10 is all SEC.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:47 PM ^
and the least deserving BCS champ ever. Beat Ohio!

Notre Dame versus an SEC team in the NC.
OMFG, what could be worse.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:51 PM ^
If ND happens to lose (seems unlikely), then NCG will almost certainly be SEC vs. SEC. Might not be worse the ND vs. SEC, but isn't a whole lot better.

Ok, Bama over ND

November 17th, 2012 at 11:38 PM ^
I'm sure this has been said before, but here's our current season: only losses to
The #1 team in the country (at the time) in Alabama
The #1 team in the country (currently) in Notre Dame
A team that we played the entire game against with our (now) 3rd string QB.
And we aren't even going to get a spot in the national title.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:42 PM ^
We aren't even going to get a shot at the Big Ten Legends Division title.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:59 PM ^
If we BEAT OHIO and end up tied with Nebraska (assume Iowa doesn't pull out miracle win and Nebraska goes to B1G CG on tie breaker) do we technically end up with a share of the B1G Legends Division title? While this would be pretty hollow, it would at least be a little something.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:44 PM ^
Bama was #2 at the time.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:39 PM ^
Go USC!!!
(Course, then that may give us an all SEC National Championship game all over again.)
Fuck it all.
