I don't think Clemson beats FSU, but that 14.5 line is absurd imo. Clemson covers easily.

BYU really should just line their gloves with epoxy. It's the only way at this point. They'll never turn it over if they can't let go in the first place.
EDIT: OK, so you get a freebie at the 1 and can't convert the turnover into points. It's an indictment of how your offense has gone from "Wow!" to "Oh, wow...well, I hope that clears up soon..."

The ref just totally gave Southwick the "sorry, dude..." look. Hilarious.

This blue field is hurting my eyes. I can't even see the Boise State players. Is this not an unfair advantage?

Thank goodness, I thought the bulbs on my pop-up big screen TV were malfunctioning again.

I have always loathed this stupid blue field, bad, bad TV, ugh.....and I do believe it is an unfair advantage, sneaky BS

Florida State cowboy hat chick > Boise State cowboy hat chick.

Glad to see him get some PT and he got an interception in the endzone for the Giants.
September 20th, 2012 at 11:16 PM ^
Hahaha...when BYU's defense reminds the commentators of MSU's defense...man you got problems Boise...

Joe Southwick to OC: "Did you see how I broke up that double play just now? Wait, what?"
September 20th, 2012 at 11:20 PM ^
Good lord, this game is just turrible. I'm done.
September 20th, 2012 at 11:21 PM ^
Between this game and the Buffalo game, my eyes just will not stop bleeding.

this is not your uncle's Boise St.
September 20th, 2012 at 11:33 PM ^
We're 48 minutes into this game and BYU has 22 yards passing and 77 yards rushing. I am hoping that the medical staff is hooking the offense to the AED right now so they can at least make sure it is well enough to be moved to a place where people can give it the proper care.

Amazing. Another incredible special teams punt roller for BSU.
September 20th, 2012 at 11:56 PM ^
I just turned this game on and BYU's offense looks fine on this drive. Why were they so inept earlier?

Going for 2!

Annnnddd incomplete.

That was idiotic. I don't understand it at all. (Unless BYU's kicker sucks really bad, but the announcers just said BYU has hit something like 68 consecutive PATs.)
September 21st, 2012 at 12:04 AM ^
I can't imagine any college football team would be unable to kick PATs. Even in 2010 when our FG percentage was historically bad, we had no trouble on PATs.
September 21st, 2012 at 12:15 AM ^
I was actually thinking about if their kicker(s) was really bad, they may not want the game to go to overtime. But even then, risking it all on a 2 point conversion in regulation rather than risking it in OT is still ridiculous. Especially considering BSU couldn't muster a single offensive point all game.

A 7-6 stinker would be an excellent candidate for Ugliest Game So Far This Season.

a bit more optimistic after watching a few weekends of football. MSU plays a hardnose style of play, but can be beaten by a team that stands up to them physically and shuts their running game down. Denard should be good enough for a gamebreaking play to push us over the top. They were outplayed quite a bit at home against BSU and ND thumped them at home as well.
ND is playing with an unproven QB that is weak in passing (been there ...). If we shut down the run and force him to throw we should be in good shape. He will target his TE a lot in this game. We know all of our weaknesses, but we still have enough strengths to win these two games.

two games in a row in very, very tough fashion. In about 5 days even.
September 21st, 2012 at 1:24 AM ^
So... Michigan State's defense is worse than BYU's defense?
Let's get them into the Big House as fast as possible then.
September 21st, 2012 at 3:13 AM ^
MSU was very over rated and got to much credit for beating a really bad and over rated BSU team. ND than gets heaps of love for beating what is a not very good MSU team. I think the bottom line is that we won't know much about ND or Michigan until after Saturday night. But my bet is on Michigan. Unless our WRs suddenly forget how to play in the rain, I think it will be a good night for the maize and blue.
September 21st, 2012 at 6:55 AM ^
Yeah, the BYU defense held Boise to less yards per play than MSU and no offensive points...I think Boise just isn't that good this year. The funny part is that there's probably 1, maybe 2 teams that can actually beat them the rest of the year though. That offense is putrid.
September 21st, 2012 at 7:30 AM ^
They hate the blue turf too!!!!!
September 21st, 2012 at 8:46 AM ^
But I must be the only person who can tell the difference between the players and field during Boise games.
September 21st, 2012 at 9:08 AM ^
It it's possible for a team to win a game and drop out of the top 25 that week, this is the one.
