On that last series, Sparty DL kept jumping in and out of the neutral zone to try and draw ND offsides... it woked once.

Keep it together ND!

Still hate Caper for that screen pass TD in OT in the 2009 game that I attended. Terrible tackling on that play.
September 15th, 2012 at 8:52 PM ^
A more experienced QB could wreak havoc on MSU's D.
September 15th, 2012 at 8:52 PM ^
good job by Irish db beating those 2 blocks

7-3, Utah State, at 11:37 in the 2nd quarter. Wisconsin forced to punt.

Great fake-out by the ND returner
September 15th, 2012 at 8:54 PM ^
IF and I mean IF our Dline can figure something out.....you can have your way with the Sparty Oline.
Give Bell the Ron Dayne treatment and you should be in business.

I love it when Herbie speaks too soon.

Damn, Eiffert almost had that

Only Goulston could fall on his ass and have an announcer make it sound like a good play.

sheesh...
Fresno State 34 - Colorado 0
September 15th, 2012 at 8:58 PM ^
MSU shakes keys now? I remember when that was the thing for us.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:04 PM ^
they prefer to shake cars but can't do that inside the stadium
September 15th, 2012 at 8:58 PM ^
Maxwell is 4-11 for 39 yards. I thought they proved against CMU he's a good passer?
September 15th, 2012 at 9:05 PM ^
It's far more difficult to highlight your play action pass specialty against ND than it is against CMU...
...and then, of course, Maxwell gets sacked. If MSU loses tonight, the awful offensive line play might end up being key.

intensely. He just seems to riff on crap Herbie says ad nauseum.

Silas Redd injured after fumbling the ball.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:02 PM ^
ND looks a step better than MSU that quarter; it will be interesting to see if that is more representative of ND's talent or MSU's really poor offensive line play.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:03 PM ^
Wow...Colorado is just bad....down 35-0 to Fresno State and gave up two 90+ yard TD's
September 15th, 2012 at 9:03 PM ^
Also, they really are bottling Heisman Trophy candidate Bell (they also did the same thing last week when they were inhabiting CMU's sidelines).
September 15th, 2012 at 9:03 PM ^
Irish rush 3 and sack Maxwell. Quality Offensive Line. Quality.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:03 PM ^
So far, MSU is looking really one dimensional.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:06 PM ^
And that dimension is horizontal along the y--plane.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:07 PM ^
Touche
September 15th, 2012 at 9:06 PM ^
I hope you're counting defense in those dimensions. They can play without the ball. With it, not so much.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:07 PM ^
Clearly then the solution is to have the MSU offense play without the ball as well. Pretty sure that the offensive line could dominate without the distraction of protecting the QB.

I think this is what people in the SEC call, "old man football." This game is boring the bejesus out of me. Just a series of poor executions. Both teams look like pretenders.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:07 PM ^
Michigan State plays Tressel ball with a few more trick plays thrown in to compensate for less talent than OSU>
September 15th, 2012 at 9:07 PM ^
Actually, a Missouri player made fun of SEC football for being "old man football." The SEC plays the most universally boring brand of football out there. They just happen to be really good at it.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:10 PM ^
Yep 'Bama plays some of the most boring football on Earth - they just have superior talent.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:14 PM ^
I thought he made fun of the Big Ten for playing old man football and said the SEC was so much better?
