*EDIT* I thought it was $375 for both, $375 per ticket seems extremely high.

That is indeed an MSU ticket question.
September 6th, 2012 at 2:31 PM ^
and I paid slightly less than that - similar seats
Go for it - should be a memorable game

on the high side, but not out of the realm. Just check stub hub. If you have an account there, you can put up tickets for sale, and when it gets to the price, it will give you the option to see what tickets actually sold for, as opposed to just the list price which is what you see. (you can then cancel selling your tickets, but still see the price)
September 6th, 2012 at 2:32 PM ^
Looks like a good deal! Price for the tickets in the same area are going for at least that much and some a lot more! They are on the MSU side and near the middile (40 or so) of the field. Your call . . . I have never set in that area.
September 6th, 2012 at 4:15 PM ^
Buy it! Buy it! Buy it!
September 6th, 2012 at 2:33 PM ^
Generally speaking, if you get a call from someone just offering you tickets and they want to be paid, they are probably just trying to get your credit card number or something. I mean, who just calls people up randomly to offer them tickets?
If this is a friend or someone you know, then why so high? I just scored my friend two tix to that game and gave it to him for face value.
Anyway, to answer your question, I would wait until after both teams play more games (ND games and real away games). The price is not likely to go up much higher if they win, but it could go down.
September 6th, 2012 at 2:33 PM ^
$375 a pop? That seems outrageous to me.
September 6th, 2012 at 3:54 PM ^
price rises with # seasons since their last beatdown of Sparty
September 6th, 2012 at 4:29 PM ^
That is spot on.
I know I will get downvoted for saying this and that's fine, as I simply don't care, but M fans are, generally speaking, cheap. Ohio fans seem to always be willing to front that kind of money for a huge rivalry game and they don't even think twice about it.
This is freaking Michigan, people.
Go Blue
September 6th, 2012 at 2:35 PM ^
Seems extremely high to me, but the market may be different this year. If we also had OSU and ND at home, I couldn't see those seats going for more than $200.
September 6th, 2012 at 2:37 PM ^
...is surprised that no one has complained... another MSU Thread!!!?!?!!
But SRLSY, those look like good seats and a pretty competitive price for the secondary market.
September 6th, 2012 at 2:40 PM ^
were going for $200 per ticket minimum on game day.

September 6th, 2012 at 2:44 PM ^
Terrible.
Take it from a season ticket holder, that the last 4-5 years have been break even, if not loss for tickets. I give the majority of mine away when I don't go.
Never buy tickets that far ahead....for all we know, we could lose half our games until the MSU game, at which point, you can get the tickets for face value, or even free (find a friend).
With that said, the only game I have plans to attend right now, is the MSU game...so that's clearly the best of the home games this year.
September 6th, 2012 at 2:52 PM ^
I too have broken even the last couple years. I went to the best games and could sell my "off games" at face value. Not great seats or anything.
But, wait....we could lose half our games until the MSU game? Did you really just throw that out there like it is even remotely possible? Wow. The Bama game shook you deeper than most. And, THAT is why you think you will get the tickets for face value or even free. If that is your reason for waiting, you might as well wait because you think you might get hospitalized some day before the game.
Then you say that because you chose to go to the MSU game, that makes it the best of the home games this year? How about it is just supposed to be the best game.
Your post is confusing and poorly worded.... and just strange. Nice to meet you.
September 6th, 2012 at 3:49 PM ^
Some may say your attack on a perfectly harmless and well-intentioned post is confusing and strange. . . Just saying.
September 6th, 2012 at 2:54 PM ^
When you add that to the tickets, face value is never enough these days to break even, It is even worse when you sell to your friends and add in the fee and they think you are robbing them.
September 6th, 2012 at 3:19 PM ^
....unless you are adjusting for the tax donation credit you get as well as the value of your Victors Club membership.
September 6th, 2012 at 2:58 PM ^
Being a season ticket holder you might not check StubHub for Michigan tickets often but one thing I can say from browsing and buying over the last 4-5 years...tickets to games vs Notre Dame, MSU, and Ohio are ALWAYS WAY OVERPRICED. 2 months before or 2 days before.
September 6th, 2012 at 3:03 PM ^
And only try to get ride of the worst games, how can you expect to do more than break even? If you want to make a profit (which why are you buying season tickets anyway) sell MSU, or UTL, and go see UMass. You'll make a profit. But I don't think that's the point. If you buy a whole season ticket and just go to one game you're lucky to be breaking even. You should probably just be going to the games, or just buy the tickets for the games you want and give up the season ones to someone who actually wants to see the team play, rather than just trying to go to an "event" then making a profit.
Edit-
Profit made on Michigan Football games- $0
Money expended on season tickets- probably $5-10k
Being there for Michigan Football moments- Priceless.
September 6th, 2012 at 3:51 PM ^
Take it from a season ticket holder, that the last 4-5 years have been break even, if not loss for tickets.I hope you aren't buying them just with resale in mind.
September 6th, 2012 at 4:38 PM ^
I'm sure demand has been somewhat lower due to three bad yeards of football (RR era), but I took a loss last year. It's frustrating.
September 6th, 2012 at 2:55 PM ^
I paid $280 + StubHub fees for a single ticket. Section 43 Row 20
A little pricey but I wanted a seat not too high, not too low, and right around the 20-30 yard line.
Cool Story Bro Time: My buddy just happens to have an extra ticket to the Monday Night Football game 2 days after Michigan's game vs MSU. Soilder Field, at night, Chicago, Lions/Bears...should be bad ass.
September 6th, 2012 at 2:56 PM ^
Just curious for anyone willing to pay that much...were you shut out of season tickets, and even the mini-packages? Because for $375 you practically have a full season ticket...they were only $390 this year. If you only wanted to attend the one game you could probably sell the rest for $5 each and make up the difference. Or, you know, if it's one of the really only give away-able games, go and see a second game for no added charge. Iowa can probably get a couple of bucks, if not actually profit for that ticket, at least the $15 more you're paying for all the games.
The mini-package even moreso if you were able to get one with MSU.
September 6th, 2012 at 3:01 PM ^
Not if you want section 44. Those are 30 yard line tickets. You'd have to pay the PSD and you'd have to have enough priortiy points to qualify to buy them.
September 6th, 2012 at 3:05 PM ^
But really, having sat all around Michigan Stadium, unless you're up way too close or something, there's not that big of a difference. If you want to pay a premium to be a little more center though, whatever floats one's boat.
September 6th, 2012 at 3:49 PM ^
I'd wait a couple more weeks. See how both teams do against ND, and then see where the demand is.
September 6th, 2012 at 3:55 PM ^
I'd probably pay 100 to watch a game against Sparty, but not much more. Prices always plummet at kickoff also.
September 6th, 2012 at 4:20 PM ^
September 6th, 2012 at 4:45 PM ^
I'm not sure about that price. Granted Section 44 is probably around the 30 yard line, you can still find tickets on stubhub for a little over 200 bucks each in the corner/endzone sections (which still a little too high for my liking). Also, scalpers will probably be selling them for 150 a pop the day of if you want to risk it. So if you do really want to go, is it really worth it to you to pay $150 to $225 dollars more a ticket to get a little bit better of a view?
September 6th, 2012 at 5:10 PM ^
Probably a much better idea to check stubhub...
September 6th, 2012 at 5:15 PM ^
September 6th, 2012 at 7:43 PM ^
Protip: Before you sell anything, anything at all, find out how much it's worth. You'll make more money that way.
September 6th, 2012 at 8:55 PM ^
September 6th, 2012 at 8:59 PM ^
Well if you don't care that much, it's not a big deal, but especially for the decent-to-good games, even your friends and family probably wouldn't mind spending over face for those kind of seats.
September 6th, 2012 at 7:37 PM ^
I flew up from North Carolina last year and paid $175 for Notre Dame and $140 for OSU. Those were both much bigger games (at least in my opinion) $375 seems outrageous for Sparty.
I'm actually flying up for the MSU game this year too (trying to work it around a business trip) and was hoping to score tix for $150 or less. Maybe that's wishful thinking?
September 6th, 2012 at 8:26 PM ^
If you'd leave your email, I have comparable tickets that I'm selling, and can def beat them on price....lets talk.
