I can never get tired of that pass to hemingway where denard somehow manages to stay on his feet while getting completely wrapped up by the ND defensive line.
Brian Kelly must have nightmares about Denard.

I've been trying to find a gif of that since that night. It was just so cool to watch.

We were so much better at the end of the season than we were most of this game. It's crazy to watch this again.

This one is great - never get enough of it. "Poor" Don Criqui just didn't know what to do with himself.

What an awesome night! I am so glad I was able to be there with my Dad. Watching this game never gets old.

I went to that game. Almost knocked my best friend's front two teeth out celebrating the last TD. Got home and kept trying to show my 3 year old daughter the awesomeness at the end (believe it or not, toys actually can be more interesting than football).
Then my DVR died. The game got deleted. It was recess everywhere but in my heart. I tried to keep going . . . but . . . all I could do is try.
Ahhhh, but then you posted this info. Alas. My DVR is complete. Thanks, yo.

After seeing Brian Kelly be such a d-bag this whole year, and hearing about all the ND students there chanting "It sucks...to be...a Michigan Wolverine" and generally just watching Notre Dame be Notre Dame, watching this game was even more satisfying now.

FACEPALM GUY, HOW I LOVE YOU!!!

One of the best days of my life.
Woke up nice and early, went to Gameday with my buddies (and had my "Follow @TKBigCrew'' sign confiscated...), went back to the apartment for a quick power nap, then down to the golf course for dogs and burgers followed by hours of beer drinking and general BSing, before finally seeing an absolute classic. I wish I could go back...

a finish on that game. I still think T-rob scored on that last play. Sure would like to see some HD slo-mo on it.

cant advance a kickoff
December 24th, 2011 at 11:25 PM ^
you can't advance a recovered onside kickoff, but you can advance a fumble on a kickoff just like any other fumble.
December 24th, 2011 at 11:58 PM ^
ND touched the ball first.
December 25th, 2011 at 12:43 AM ^
Kickoff was a muff, it is not a fumble. You can not advance a kick/muff. The ball is dead when the kicking team gains possession. Plus a kickoff only needs to go ten yards then kicking team can recover regardless of who touchs it first. Same with punts, if recieving team gains possession then fumbles, it is just like any other live ball play. Fumbles can be returned. Same for punts. If the reciever muffs it, the ball is dead at the recovery spot by the kicking team. This scenario happened against Wisconsin in the early 2000's. They muffed a punt, we recovered and "returned" it for a td. Instead, we got the ball at the recovery spot and kicked a fg for the win.

I have been trying to find a torrent for this BTN production. It has some pregame stuff not on the network version. Also love the interludes where they don't cut to the network updates - nice touch.

My son and I were at UTL, and we caught the 4th quarter on BTN last night. Rewatching brought back some great memories, but if you weren't there, you just can't recapture the raw energy and emotion that went with the last 1:11. It was magical.
