....so I thank you for enabling my inherent laziness. TCU vs. Louisiana Tech., if I am not mistaken. This has to be better than Marshall vs. FIU.

What's the DTE project on US-23 between Geddes and Plymouth Roads? I'm curious as to its purpose, aside from ruining my drive home.
December 21st, 2011 at 7:58 PM ^
....but MDOT actually requested that work. They are engaging in a rather substantial expansion of the so-called "Intelligent Traffic System". I actually did most of the design work for them out in the Dexter area on that one.
December 21st, 2011 at 8:02 PM ^
As long as you're not installing speed cameras, it's all good.
December 21st, 2011 at 8:08 PM ^
Never in Ann Arbor. That's more an Ohio thing.
December 21st, 2011 at 8:21 PM ^
In Michigan "Intelligent traffic system" is done instead of repaving the roads.
December 21st, 2011 at 8:32 PM ^
I would rather that the roads were tended to, yes...
December 21st, 2011 at 9:41 PM ^
We don't have the world's best roads ever, no, but I think we've gotten so used to bitching about them that it's become too easy. I lived in Rhode Island for two years and the roads there broke my car.

The 10-point line seems like free money if you ask me.
December 21st, 2011 at 8:06 PM ^
Not sure for whom. I'd take Tech, personally.
December 21st, 2011 at 8:53 PM ^
I like TCU in this. Guess not so far, but I think they'll be fine.
December 21st, 2011 at 7:46 PM ^
Sports Science is the worst. It was cool when it first started but it ran out of good things to break down years ago.
December 21st, 2011 at 11:14 PM ^
Yeah, every episode is just kind of a repeat. "Player X can do all of this Y times better than everyone else!" I know it has a limited amount of topics, but it has gotten stale
December 21st, 2011 at 7:47 PM ^
Who do y'all got in this one? Discuss.
December 21st, 2011 at 7:49 PM ^
I doubt Louisiana Tech gets much love in this one. TCU is the easy favorite. Double digit spread.
December 21st, 2011 at 7:50 PM ^
But I would love too see a Louisiana tech upset to stir things up a bit.
December 21st, 2011 at 7:52 PM ^
I passionately dislike TCU so I'm going to root for Louisiana Tech.
December 21st, 2011 at 7:55 PM ^
How can you hate someone's whose mascot can shoot blood out of its eyes?
December 21st, 2011 at 8:08 PM ^
Because they're liars? It's a lizard.
December 21st, 2011 at 8:40 PM ^
Great to see some of these kids giving back this time of year.
December 21st, 2011 at 8:02 PM ^
I hope the booth is has excellent drainage.
December 21st, 2011 at 8:09 PM ^
I don't know if I can listen to three hours of Mark May.
December 21st, 2011 at 8:03 PM ^
I dislike like Patterson but TCU is my second highest confidence pick so go frawgs
December 21st, 2011 at 8:09 PM ^
Carter has gone a little overboard with the bicep bands
December 21st, 2011 at 10:21 PM ^
Name is Tank. Tank wear as many arm bands as wants.
Also believe it is Carder
December 21st, 2011 at 8:09 PM ^
You have to fear a man who appears to have welded steel rings on his biceps...
December 21st, 2011 at 8:12 PM ^
They need to have a word limit for bowl names. Seriously.
December 21st, 2011 at 8:22 PM ^
....we see the Gary Sanitary District Sewage Treatment Plant Bowl. That would be going too far.
EDIT: I like that, during bowls like this one, I can see commercials for credit unions that I couldn't join for geographic reasons.
December 21st, 2011 at 8:17 PM ^
Yeah. Three. One of which must be "Bowl." And if you use all three, one of the words must be "City" as in "Motor City Bowl."
December 21st, 2011 at 8:31 PM ^
They are probably wondering why they just didn't stay out there after the penalty.
December 21st, 2011 at 8:43 PM ^
I remember watching SDSU dismantle Navy in this game last year and thinking that Hoke won't be such a bad option if we can't get Harbaugh. My, how time flies.
December 21st, 2011 at 8:46 PM ^
This thread sucks. I hate the NBA..
This thread sucks because I was unawares of this game, now turned it on and had to listen to Lou Holtz lisper sweet nuthin's in my ear.
December 21st, 2011 at 8:59 PM ^
What a sick grab.
December 21st, 2011 at 9:04 PM ^
Starting to smell the upset. Lessgo.
December 21st, 2011 at 9:05 PM ^
These San Diego County Credit Union commercials are ridiculous. Wouldn't they be better spending their money on local commercials?
December 21st, 2011 at 9:22 PM ^
Is that Sylvester the cat that said suffering succotash or Holtz? This is hilarious!
December 21st, 2011 at 9:25 PM ^
TCU's QB is very inaccurate. He has missed at least five open receivers and I have only watched about seven minutes of this game.
December 21st, 2011 at 9:30 PM ^
That has to be the worst 'roughing the kicker' penalty I've ever seen... I mean, did he actually even touch him?
December 21st, 2011 at 10:07 PM ^
December 21st, 2011 at 10:08 PM ^
Nice 4th down conversion.
December 21st, 2011 at 10:17 PM ^
They just played Blues Brothers!
They stole our thing!
/but maybe not really
December 21st, 2011 at 10:21 PM ^
Question: What happens to Desmond's Michigan Legend patch during the bowl game? The sugar bowl patch is on that side, and the block M is on the other..
December 21st, 2011 at 10:24 PM ^
Is this about Poinsettas or Credit Unions?
December 21st, 2011 at 10:37 PM ^
Both! Haha, the question occured to me while watching the Poinsettia bowl, so it for sure belongs in this thread!
December 21st, 2011 at 10:22 PM ^
Feel real bad for poor # 3 on TCU. Kid was shaking like a leaf on the bench after muffing the punt.
December 21st, 2011 at 10:23 PM ^
Are punts from lefties harder to catch than righties?? Wasn't aware of this.
December 21st, 2011 at 10:35 PM ^
Sounds like announcer overanalysis to me. I call bullshit. There were like eight guys around him, it's not that hard to see why he dropped it without getting cute and trying to sound smarter than the viewer.
December 21st, 2011 at 10:38 PM ^
They mentioned this in the Pats game Sunday, when Zoltan spiraled a punt out of the returners hands using his mind. He would have put it in the corner, but we all know there are no corners in space.
Also, LOL at Lou Holtz taking his daughter to the prom in a tux
