Crucify someone for being honest in saying an opponent is a great player? I'd hope not. Saying someone is a tremendous competitor and player doesn't mean you don't have pride in yourself or your team, nor does it mean you don't believe you could win the game.

I pity the fool if it is ever found out, his teammate might not be to partial to him handing us bulletin board material. Perhaps it was the journalist taking literary freedom, maybe he isn't to pleased with the direction of the program and wants the Gophers squashed.

I liked this line,

"Film session? You get a film session if you just turn on ESPN. ... It'll be a great test. You want a test like this early in the Big Ten season."

Obviously not everyone is underawed by Shoelace. We might need this, actually; considering their record, the unfortunate circumstance Coach Kill has found himself in, as well as the injury to Grey, perhaps we might be at risk for a little complacency; it might do us some good to sprikle a little "Oh no he di'int!" into the mindset.

i cannot help but roll my eyes at this thread. Some people need to understand that not everyone worships Robinson.

P.S. Just because your post is being rated poorly doesn't meant that people didn't get the message. Unpopular opinions will be met with unpopularity. Doesn't mean that what you said is untrue, it just means that it is unpopular. And this isn't a popularity contest, is it? If so, I'm f-ed.

you have to understand that the minny players may not be the best judges of talent. to them, even north dakota state had good players. one would think that anyone better than him must be good. therefore, most everyone minny sees must be good.

so to them, yes, denard is just another good player running rough-shod over their defense.

I think you could possibly understand the statement if it was coming from an SEC team because almost all of them have someone that is comparable to Denard. But when a 1-3 Minnesota player says something like that???

What do you expect him to say? "Denard is vastly superior to any player on this team. Marquis Grey cannot do anything to immitate him." He needs to be supportive of HIS team, and supportive of HIS QB.

He's being a good teammate, and it's not like he's saying Denard sucks. He's saying they face a running QB every day at practice. People need to chill.

I played against players vastly superior to me in talent. Before the game i would never said that.

Grow up people, this is standard talk for a competitor. Not everyone in the country needs to rub one off to Demard nightly.

in the comments of every article I read in the SD paper. He was warning Michigan that they have never seen anything like Hillman or Lindley. I seldom read comments, and there is no way I'm posting just to twist a knife in his soul, but I can't help but wonder what they think of #16 now.

Minnesota?

Sure, there once was a football team claiming to be from there, but all evidence points to the conclusion that if there was ever a football team in Minnesota, it moved to Wisconsin.

Football players in Minnesota are mythical beings. Like Unicorns.

Quick, sing the Minnesota fight song. See what I mean? No such thing.
