he needs to learn the ref signals lol
September 17th, 2011 at 4:54 PM ^
Man, despite those turnovers, ND has the ability to just march down the field
September 17th, 2011 at 4:56 PM ^
92 yards in 10 plays and 5 minutes. Impressive
September 17th, 2011 at 4:56 PM ^
That's a TD. 21-7 ND
September 17th, 2011 at 4:57 PM ^
21-10 buddy.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:03 PM ^
Touche salesman. My head isn't completely in the game right now.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:05 PM ^
It's 21-10. But Sparty is driving.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:00 PM ^
..... you'll hear the sound of Dantonio's agent faxing out his resume to every 0-2 division I program in the country....
September 17th, 2011 at 5:01 PM ^
That's bad if Burkland is seriously hurt. He's a proising right tackle and already decent enough.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:02 PM ^
Yeah it does not look good either. Hope the kid is ok.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:05 PM ^
It doesn't look to good, having to get carted off. God, I hate seeing serious injuries to kids. At least he has plenty of eligability left.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:01 PM ^
yikes, looks like Sparty loses their RT. wish him the best
September 17th, 2011 at 5:02 PM ^
MSU has their starting RT down and it looks pretty bad (ankle?). MSU can't have injuries there.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:03 PM ^
Looked like a couple players rolled into the back of his knee. Dont want to speculate but maybe ACL?
September 17th, 2011 at 5:06 PM ^
When he was carted off, he had his shoe off and his leg wasn't stabilized. I'm pretty sure it's his ankle. Hope he's okay.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:11 PM ^
#51, looks quite small
September 17th, 2011 at 5:07 PM ^
a hyperextension perhaps? Wish him well soon whatever it is.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:06 PM ^
Drink everytime they note that Cousins is a 5 year senior.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:09 PM ^
"Gary Gray deflects it incomplete"
Finish your liquor cabinet.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:11 PM ^
You gotta know Dantonio is thinking about it.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:12 PM ^
What a stupid call. You need the 3 anyway. Might as well kick it, take the points, and take the ball after halftime.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:12 PM ^
What is Sparty doing?? Everyone saw that coming.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:13 PM ^
The entire ND coaching staff should have been fired at halftime.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:13 PM ^
Dumtonio strikes again.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:17 PM ^
Awful play call by Dantanio. After last year of course they're looking fake. And with you getting the ball to start the 2nd half, take the three points to make it a one score game.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:18 PM ^
When even my wife is saying "hey, that was a dumb call. Why didn't MSU just kick it", you know you are in trouble. The MSU magic may just have run out for them after last year's magical run.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:20 PM ^
If you want to skip highlights, Minnesota-Miami is about to start the 3rd quarter. Man, Kill is one red dude.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:22 PM ^
Also, Army driving on Northwestern on CBSSN. Although, crowd is at least 40% NU fans.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:24 PM ^
The ball fell off the tee. Miami's (NTM) kicker kicked it anyway, and the refs blew it dead. I know they'll blow it dead if the kicker stops, but if he kicks it? I've never seen that before and wouldn't have guessed they'd kill the play.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:31 PM ^
I understand this isn't the most legimitmate thing in the world, but Steele thought Western, Toledo and Northern Illinois were the 3 best teams in the MAC. Wisky is up 35-7 against Northern early in the 3rd. That would compare favorably to Michigan's game against WMU and of course OSU's game against Toledo.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:35 PM ^
I am glad we dont have Wisconsin on the schedule this year. Russell Wilson has taken that offense to another level.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:36 PM ^
Is the jerel worthy hype dead yet?
September 17th, 2011 at 5:49 PM ^
Hopefully. That kind of came out of left field. Some thought he was a top 5 pick!
September 17th, 2011 at 5:53 PM ^
Didn't understand the hype on Worthy. Showed no motor, didn't show any burst or quickness. Bad hand usages.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:46 PM ^
This is hilarious. 28-10 ND.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:51 PM ^
To be fair, this is what Michigan would have gone through last week if ND wasn't so, uh, generous.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:56 PM ^
Wisconsin could be on our schedule. What about the Big Ten Championship game? Gotta believe.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:55 PM ^
Dantonio's trick plays aren't working that well today, eh?
September 17th, 2011 at 5:56 PM ^
Another Dantonio fail. He runs the wildcat, goes for nothing. Two plays later, he runs it again, loses 11 yards.
September 17th, 2011 at 5:57 PM ^
I recommend people follow along with this thread. Already 85 pages in, but worth the shits and giggles.

That is what the LiveBlogs look like when Michigan isn't manhandling the team they're playing. After the second drive, people were calling for Gardner to get in.
September 17th, 2011 at 6:28 PM ^
This.
I give the mods so much credit when it comes to sifting through a typical liveblog. I saw people calling for Gardner as well, and it just seemed insane. Teams go up and down during a game, and sometimes you get pulled in to a per-play mindset.
September 17th, 2011 at 6:05 PM ^
ND is playing pissed off today. Everyone knew it would be that or please fire our coach now (again)
September 17th, 2011 at 6:09 PM ^
I didn't know who would win, but I definitely thought MSU would keep it close. If Notre Dame won, I thought it would be by a field goal.
September 17th, 2011 at 6:12 PM ^
I honestly thought they would be defeated. MSU just doesn't look that great outside of Cousins. Hell, ND is still behind in the TO margin. Why hasn't MSU figured out that Gary Gray still plays?
September 17th, 2011 at 6:11 PM ^
ND still has to play the 4th quarter...
September 17th, 2011 at 6:18 PM ^
MSU is averaging 1.1 yards per rush so far. Their Oline is very suspect.
September 17th, 2011 at 6:20 PM ^
Stay tuned. Kelly tends to get conservative when leading.
