ND Fans
Alright gents, I need some help here. I have been a die hard Michigan fan my entire life, but I have grown up in South Bend so practically all of my friends are ND fans. So needless to say this week there has been some banter going back and forth, but I am a one man army right now. So on to my point, any ammunition to use against them would be great. I have already used the all time record, etc. So anything useful would be great. Thanks MGoCommunity!

Is Freekbass really more embarrassing than Pop Evil? I actually have to say no.
And Notre Dame, unaware of the benefits of expanding the brand and manufacturing an enhanced gameday experience, doesn't play this bullshit at their stadium.
So we lose on this one, unfortunately.

I dunno...bring up anything Lou Holtz has said in the past 5 years? That should be plenty embarassing to them.

Try pointing out to them their winning percentage the last 18 years. Being 34th in the nation is nothing to talk smack about.
If that's not enough, you could always point out the ancient history.
*Michigan taught them the game of football in 1888.
*They copied their stadium off of Michigan Stadium in 1930. (You're welcome, Knute Rockne.)
*Their fight song was not only inspired from "The Victors," but was written after a loss to Michigan.

I'm pretty sure they got their nickname, the "Fighting Irish" while playing against Michigan.

...was coined by a writer for the Free Press (I just threw up a little in my mouth) in 1909 after ND beat UM for the first time in several tries.

The worst 3 years in Michigan football history still resulted in two wins vs. ND.

Michigan fans wannabes and whiners? Have you seen ND fans? All you guys do is whine about the refs after you lose game. I hate Notre Dame because you’re on the schedule. I hate you because you’re a rival. I hate you because you’re battling us for all time winning percentage and all time wins. I hate you because your fans are arrogant. I hate you because you’re arrogant about receiving a high preseason ranking every year, a ranking about which you have done nothing to deserve. I hate you because your players (Clausen, anyone?) and coaches (Take your pick) are arrogant to no end. I hate you because you talk about having higher standards than other schools and you use that as an excuse why you can't get recruits good enough to compete with other teams and win, while we all know that ship sailed a long time ago. I hate you because you refuse to admit that you no longer hold your players to higher standards than most other schools. I hate you because you forget where you came from. I hate that you forget Michigan was the team that showed you how to play football. I hate that you forget that the only reason that you're independent is because when you were on your knees, ready to do anything to join the Big 10, Michigan looked you in the eyes and told you, “No.”. I hate that you act like you've always wanted to be independent and have never wanted to join a conference, yet most of you are just too stupid to see the truth. I hate that you think that you're the only school with rich tradition, while we all know that's bullshit. I hate you for the media. I hate that you lose a game at home to a team from the Big East are still called to win a game on the road at the Big House. I hate you because you gave us that slobbering bastard, Lou Holtz. I hate you because the first college football game I went to was a Michigan loss to Notre Dame. I hate you because you’re so arrogant about beating no one. I hate you because you talk trash all week before a big game, but as soon as you lose, you’re nowhere to be found. I hate you because I grew up in South Bend a Michigan and I had to listen to your shit for 13 years. I hate that you call yourself a Catholic institution yet so much of what you do is anti-Catholic. I hate you because Bo Schembechler hated you. I hate you because you copied our stadium. I hate you for so many reasons, half of which aren’t even listed here. I hate you because you’re ND and you’re our rival. At least I used to respect Notre Dame, but now, now after the past few years I’ve lost any respect I’ve had for you.

And they've been talking shit online all week long, how would you handle it? I figure go big, and shut them up for good. And I didn't write all that shit out in one day. It's been going on since Saturday.

Dude, I'm giving you much respect, even tough you triple posted earlier. I'm so sorry you have to deal with so many ND fans, hopefully my upvotes provide some solace, I try.

Hart20, you are hilarious, awesome, stellar, and so correct!!! I was laughing so hard I was crying! I agree 100% and cannot WAIT to make it 3 in a row so we can really shut up those hippocritical, arrogant punks!
P.S. Brian Kelly looks like a constipated cabbage patch kid when he is yeling! GO BLUE!!!!!!!

"I hate that you call yourself a Catholic institution yet so much of what you do is anti-Catholic."
Hmm. I'm sure this is informed by the inquisition, the 30 years war, etc....
It could be that "what they do" that you see as so wrong is in at least slight conformity....

whatever. I didn't spend the time to proofread it. I figured it was an overreaction so I just deleted it. I'll let the game talk for itself instead.

read this book, granted you must take it with a grain of salt, but pretty interesting. It also coinsides with most of holtzs books. great read. Abebooks.com its $3 plus shipping.

We've won the last two games. Ergo, we hold bragging rights. They've got to hold their tongue.

and every time I make sure to wear my Maize and Blue with pride just to piss them off. They are worse than a little brother. In fact, they are more like little sisters.
September 9th, 2011 at 5:47 AM ^
.....like their team, also overrated. They walk into seasons arrogant and end seasons wondering who is conspiring against them. If Oliver Stone was an ND fan, he'd take back all his conspiracy films because he would have seen enough theories float around in South Bend alone. Come on, ND, stop whining, start playing.

Here are a few reasons from a 2009 posting on the same subject:

For having a pretty famous fight song and not having to memorize music, their band is awful.

basically got their coach fired in 2009.
I don't think they have beaten an armed forces school in 10 years.
The dancing fairy that they deploy on the sidelines.
Tulsa, really? (but really they could fire back with App. State and Toledo so use caution)
Jimmy Clauson's black eye.
Brian Kelly's child abusive tendencies.
