If he loses a year of eligibility because of a series against Bowling Green...RR did not know how to handle his redshirts.

I dont know about you AA, but I am hoping sSOMEONE ANYONE PUTS TOGETHER A 2015 DEPTH CHART!!!!!!!!!!!!
September 2nd, 2011 at 3:22 AM ^
It won't be decided until 2014 because of a change in NCAA rules.
September 2nd, 2011 at 10:39 AM ^
Heard this same thing. If true, what a horrendous rule change. Why do they think it's a good idea to make a kid wait several years to know what class he is actually in?
September 2nd, 2011 at 3:24 AM ^
especially considering the time of the post.
September 2nd, 2011 at 3:25 AM ^
Why haven't they gone after Auburn yet!?
September 2nd, 2011 at 5:29 AM ^
.....so much time, right?
September 2nd, 2011 at 12:39 PM ^
Three years from now seems like a reasonable time to punish the evildoers. It only makes sense that the actual players and coaches who did the cheating should not themselves be punished by glacial NCAA justice.

Pending...

We will not know until one of the MGoCommunity's intrepid investigators peers into Devin's closet or sifts through his laundry.

Does the creeper van do home invasions?
September 2nd, 2011 at 7:38 AM ^
This question caught me off guard a bit. This is the first time this question has been asked so forgive my poor attempt at answering it. I believe the NCAA only rules on medicals during leap years, so no info will be forth coming until then.
September 2nd, 2011 at 7:40 AM ^
I thought we settled this one already. The decision won't be known until his fourth year.
September 2nd, 2011 at 7:53 AM ^
is busy not doing a fucking thing to OSU. They don't have time for this other shit.
September 2nd, 2011 at 8:03 AM ^
If there is such an uproar from re-posted threads and the use of the dreaded OT by the board, are stupid posts like this necessary?
September 2nd, 2011 at 9:05 AM ^
Since a conclusive answer was never posted and it seems odd no decision has come down
September 2nd, 2011 at 9:12 AM ^
Really?

And this just needed to be answered at 3 in the morning and numerous people can see the sarcasm.

Just take comfort in the fact that no matter what happens, this will affect you more than anything else in your life. Even more than the birth of your first born.

Hoke hates Ohio so much, he blue shirts his players.
September 2nd, 2011 at 8:59 AM ^
... Then he petitions the NCAA for the red-shirt. UM then determines, based upon Shane Morris' performance whether the red shirt for Devin is warranted, and puts forth the amount of effort deemed appropriate.

So....
September 2nd, 2011 at 9:16 AM ^
to act like the process is proceeding normally regarding Devin's redshirt. Other players have found out about medical red shirts well before their 4th year. I do think, however, it's a Big Ten decision, not an NCAA decision.
September 2nd, 2011 at 9:30 AM ^
I think you may be wrong on both counts. It is an NCAA decision, and typically not made until after the player's 4th year.

Here is a recent example:
Redshirt junior Mike Rallis, one of the leaders of the defense, also missed time during fall camp with the flu. Like Cooper, he's expected to play this Saturday. Rallis started in six games and played in nine as a sophomore last year, recording 37 tackles as well as three interceptions. The Edina, Minn., native was granted a medical redshirt in 2009 after breaking his leg in the third game of the season.
Another recent example in basketball:

Yes he got it. It's a done deal. DB gave me the news personally, but don't let anyone else know, because it is sort of confidential.
September 2nd, 2011 at 9:30 AM ^
not all that worried tbh, you have Morris who will be a sophmore and if he is half the QB he is being hyped up to be I think he will beat out Devin that year anyway, so why have the controversy?
September 2nd, 2011 at 9:55 AM ^
Not saying it's a zero chance, but Devin is a five star recruit who will have been in college four years by then. I doubt Morris actually starts until he's a junior.

Since this post was made by a seasoned veteran, I have made sure my sarcasm meter is fully functional. In other words, yes, I DO see what you did there.
