blames Hunwick. Dude is friggin superman.
I saw him when he came in last year for the ND game. From that point I absolutely loved the kid. He plays with intensity. I loved watching him get into scuffs with UMD players tonight. For such a small kid, he's got balls. And he's not afriad to whip 'em out.
For F**K sake, without him we wouldn't have even been playing today. God love that tiny little goalie.
For what it's worth, I am blaming Barry Melrose. I just want another reason to hate his stupid freaking hair.

Where he got us there, so don't complain, but he didn't have his best game. He wasn't the problem at all. Were ANY of the goals bad goals tonight? Maybe on our defense on one or two of them, but not on him.

I'm slightly buzzed but started a group for him. Join and show support.

Edit: changed link to a page instead of a group. no need for me to moderate this.
I couldn't wait for this game to come, I wanted this weekend to go fast. I was so ready for us to win, now this weekend completely sucks and tomorrow's sunday which always has the tomorrow's monday feeling and I also have to do a project that I haven't even started yet. It seems like every time I don't except us to win we do and I whenever I expect it we don't. Fuck this i'd love for someone to bring me some alcohol right now.
If not, Zeiler's is open until like 3 AM on Saturdays.
If my parents hadn't just got home I probably would have gone down there.
edit: probably would have had someone go there for me. seriously. this sucks ass.
a metric butload of cheese covered bread? Heavy food will have a similar effect.

I'm 22 and three weeks from being on my own and living off my own income and I still steal my parents liquor after they go to bed during school breaks. Don't be above trying that.
did we run sprints before the OT? no legs. Since this is a bitch post, too: Winnett was dragging hard on the last shift, pretty much standing straight up while skating and then got beat. I'm sure it had to do with all the icing, but damn.
I really thought we would win this game wasn't prepared for this. what am I drinking? STELLAAAAAAAAAA!
Some Jim Beam and Coke and an umbrella of furry.
But an umbrella of furry is a new one on me.

Several shots of Bacardi 151 to kickstart this shit. Then whiskey and rum in whatever the hell I can find to water it down. If I don't water it down, it will all be gone before I'm ready for it to be.

Drink of choice: Nyquil (I've had the flu for a few days now)
Honestly though, while the quick whistle pissed me off I knew it was coming before the puck even went in the net, and it wasn't as bad as the Miami call where it was obvious to anyone with eyes that the puck was loose and not under the goalie. I lost sight of the puck on this one and we had a somewhat similar angle as the ref, so I was waiting for the whistle. And UMD outplayed us for about 16 minutes of the second, a fair bit of the 3rd, and was in general causing much more havoc in our end than we were in theirs all night, and while a couple of the penalties on our guys were pure BS many of them were caused by UMD simply being faster to the puck and getting after it. I can't say we deserved to lose as our guys played hard, but I do have to say UMD is a deserving champ.
Even though this sucks. My wife went to Butler so we are 0-for-2 on national championship games this week. So far this year I've watched the Bears lose at home to the Packers in the NFC Championship, and now two national championship game losses. I half expect the Hawks to get housed tomorrow while the Stars win in regulation to knock the Hawks out of the playoffs, followed by a too-early exit for the Bulls, and half the Sox lineup to hit the DL by July. Blerg.

I'm drinking a little of everything. Right now I'm on Kahluha and coffee. I'll switch to vodka or gin in a bit.
Welcome to the Greatest Blog in the Land. Don't take it personally when some of the curmudgeons around here are mean...you'll learn to love 'em. I promise.
So, this is me venting/commiserating. We lost, and it was awful. I was wearing a Michigan necktie, and poas
fuck it- too drunk and too pissed. I'll try tomorrow. FML. trying to read this with one eye. sigh. tough to swallow, this.
