I'm sick and tired of night games... Is the sun not good enough to light games?

As someone who isn't a morning person and never will be, I prefer 3:30 PM and the odd night game myself. I kind of like having my day, or at least part of it too. Trying to get to the stadium straight from bed on Saturday just isn't appealing although I do it every season, just not without impressive amounts of coffee.

Thanks, papa.

Not for TV, and they run things.

If we win out up until that game, I expect it to be a night game. And very likely where ESPN will be heading for Gameday. Wisconsin will probably be top-5, and we’d probably be somewhere between 10-15.

This didn’t age well

makes me not want to go. 3:30s are just about perfect.

If you enjoy Michigan’s wine and cheese quietest 100k you’ll ever hear reputation I guess 3:30 games work.
if you like having any sort of meaningful home field advantage and a crowd that impresses literally anyone for recruits a night game is infinitely superior.

can't wait for my head on collision into oncoming traffic during my drive home at 2am!

Then don’t go to the game. It’s really that simple. Sell your ticket to someone who wants to be there in a great night atmosphere and will make noise.

Isn't that what "making me not to go" would imply?

Get a hotel or an AirBNB.
September 15th, 2018 at 8:31 PM ^
you paying? $105 for ticket, plus gas and food, now I have to get a room an hour away...getting pricey.

How ever did Michigan win so many games before RAWK and lights?
September 15th, 2018 at 7:26 PM ^
Yeah that night game atmosphere sure worked well last year.
September 15th, 2018 at 2:54 PM ^
That would be epic cool if true. So I’m guessing it won’t happen.

As for PSU @ U-M ...... ABC has already "claimed" the Notre Dame @ Northwestern game on November 3. I have no idea if ND will remain top-ranked, but if they do, ABC has a history of putting Top 10 ND teams into their prime time spot.
FOX has a couple decent Pac-12 (Stanford @ Washington) and Big XII (Oklahoma @ Texas Tech) games available to them for a November 3 prime-time game.
Time will tell. But right now, I'd put the odds at under 50% on PSU @ U-M being a prime-time game. Wisky @ U-M at night seems more likely.

I don’t know. I’m so sorry.

Useful contribution, as usual.

I prefer night home games to night road games... but it seems that we get screwed on that too.
September 15th, 2018 at 3:24 PM ^
the hand-wringing over night games on this website is insane. do other fan bases despise night games?
September 15th, 2018 at 7:29 PM ^
Remember when everyone here begged for a night game and got their wish against msu in 2017.
And then everyone complained about the loss because of the rain.
Remember that that the weather was perfect all day.
But hey, that night game atmosphere had the team really hyped!

Do people seriously watch this program at night.
Unless its Minnesota or Rutgers, its a joke performance almost every time.
