Western Michigan has given up two punt return td’s

Against Central Michigan tonight. One was 70 yards and the other was 97 yards. They were both in the second quarter. That’s how you go from up 14-0 to being down 21-14 real quick. Not a big game obviously but I thought it was unusual to give up two punt return touchdowns in one game and even more unusual for them to be in the same quarter.

Tim “Howdy Doody” Lester will make a stupid excuse for punting to Raghib Pimpleton.  I was tempted to make the 3 hr drive to wipe that dumb smirk off his face for the post game presser.  It’s hard to watch the downward spiral after the Cotton Bowl appearance.

Weird and disappointing to see this game as a November MACtion game.

Schedule it for a Saturday in mid-October and then the home team can get 25K+ attendance for the game.  The rivalry deserves that.  Instead schedule games like Akron/WMU for MACtion, people will still watch anyway.

CMU v WMU was a non-MACtion game 4 of the last 5 non-COVID years.  It's been on a mid-season Saturday more often than not of late.

I hope it wasn't a mentality of "oh, the kids might drink and party!  We must stop that, that can't be!"

Looking at the MAC schedule, the other rivalry games (Toledo/BGSU, Ohio/Miami, Akron/KSU) are all MACtion games too.  So this is probably the doings of ESPN.  ESPN demanding these games be MACtion, because their television ratings (the 100K people who are watching ESPNU on a Wednesday night, of course) are more important than the in-stadium college football experience.

Wrong thread somehow so edit... for a company that runs ads saying stop having your website function like your neighbors son made it or whatever Human Element kind of makes websites worse than that (but barrage of ads =  $)
