Correct.  If PSU beats MSU, but loses to Minnesota, then the tiebreaker drops to cumulative record of our non-divisional opponents, which slightly favors PSU over us and OSU.  PSU and OSU lose this weekend and we'll be a PSU loss to OSU in a few weeks from being able to control our own destiny (assuming we don't stub our toe again).

I originally thought the same but the weather report is calling for HEAVY rain in Columbus on Saturday and don't be shocked if we see a Wisky upset.  OSU has had their athletic advantage neutralized in the past - as do many top level teams - in nasty weather.

UM 24 - ND 21

PSU 21 - MSU 14

Wisky 17 - OSU 14 if it rains heavy

Somehow no rain - OSU 31 - Wisky 24

Hate to say it but I feel like Wiscy can’t keep up with the OSU wideouts. Not many teams can this year because they basically have 3 or 4 KJ Hamler types. Hoping I’m wrong but I say OSU wins and covers the spread (14).

Not sure who I think will win Penn State vs Michigan State because it is at MSU.

Hopefully we play like we did in the second half and beat a really good ND team!!

From the highlights, it didn’t seem like USC hit a lot of deep passes. ND’s pass rush was an issue early which probably affected the play calling. Although  There was one TD to Aman-Ra St. Brown that was ~ 30-40 yds. But other than that, a lot of intermediate routes were successful. USC gashed ND on the ground especially in the 2nd half. SC’s back, Marquis Stepp had a real nice game.

In any particular game it doesn't really matter if you hit any or even throw that many. (Obviously you have to show the ability to hit them at some point, which USC has done this year.) The threat of going down the field can open up other things, generally the running game because safeties can't meet your RBs after 4 yards and still cover deep.

I think you’ve got that backwards.  Wisconsin’s O line is going to struggle against the OSU Dline.   It’s a mismatch.   They will have to double-team Chase Young every down and the 2 deep rotation will be fresh in the 4th quarter.   I’d love to see WI roll but it just not going to happen

UM 27 ND 21

PSU 30 MSU 6

Wisconsin 24 OSU 23

I seriously hope Rutgers wins, I hate to see any team outside of MSU, OSU and ND get their dick kicked into the dirt every week.

Games relevant to us.

ND at UM: Michigan wins 24-17. The 2nd half @PSU was rather encouraging, and we aren't as prone to those terrible starts at home like we are on the road. M gets it done.

Wisc at OSU: OSU wins 38-17. I see no signs of OSU slowing down here, especially not against a team that found it in them to lose to Illinois. I think us not showing up in Madison resulted in the Badgers being wildly overrated.

PSU at MSU: PSU wins 34-7. I think PSU may be a bit overrated, but MSU is a total mess right now. Sparty's offense makes ours look like Oklahoma. I don't see Lewerke having near the performance Shea did.

Other Big Ten games

Iowa at Northwestern: NW wins this one. The Cats have been disappointing this season, but Iowa seems like a good matchup for them. Iowa's offense has been struggling, and may keep this game low-scoring enough for Northwestern to squeak one out.

Illinois at Purdue: why

Liberty at Rutgers: Hugh Freeze gets it done 20-17

Maryland at Minny: Goldy Gopher wins yet another trash game. However, they seem to be improving, blowing out bad teams instead of squeaking by them at the beginning of the season. I seriously want to see Minny face a real test because they're closer to the real deal now than they were at the start of the season.

Indiana at Nebraska: I'm gonna go with Indy here. I like Penix's game (please go easy on me with this one).

We actually have to care about Illinois-Purdue if it comes down to the 5th tie-breaker. See the Diary on our "path to Indianapolis." We are also better off if PSU's second loss (OSU being the first) is against MSU rather than Minnesota.
