It started when UofM was the first out of region school to offer Dax, before Texas, before Bama and most of the SEC, that earned an early unofficial on March 17th for junior day. Also there ......Chris Hinton!
Hinton gets this year's stellar "commit recruiting" going by impressing both Dax and Zach Harrison building friendships with them and starting a virtual conversation that lasts all summer. Charles Thomas is heavily involved and over the next few weeks DJ Turner and Cade McNamara join in.
At "the opening finals" Dax hung out with Cade and DJ, was introduced to Giles Jackson, who was on Cade's 7v7 team, and his buddy............. Kyle Ford!
Dax, Cade and Giles became friends.I
After the all out blitz by Saban that convinced Dax he would be the most important thing to come to Alabama since air conditioning, he almost committed to them in July but seemed turned off by their pressure.
Giles committed, Cade came to town to seal the deal and now Dax is a #goonsquad19.

So to answer your question:
Fortunately, a lot of the recruits Dax wanted to play with are already committed, and therefore a flip is very unlikely But I'm not sure if he's bringing more for '19; it could help with Myles Slusher '20.
But his presence on the #goonsquad19 makes it much more enticing for Harrison, Cine, Crouch and maybe Karlaftis as well to join that truly elite defensive unit.
