Vegas has Michigan as 11.5 point dogs

Submitted by Bosch on

Considering this will be our 5th game this year against one of the #1 seeds and that the largest margin of defeat in the other four is 9, I would have thought it might have been tighter.

Also of note, OSU is 10.5 pt favorites over Geaorge Mason and Pitt is 7.5 pt favorites over Butler. So.... according to the Vegas line, we are the least likely 8 seed to pull off the upset.

Tighter than that? I don't see it. Do you know about Kyrie Irving? Duke's the best team in the tournament right now. (You know who isn't? Kansas. Looks like the Illini could scare them pretty good on Sunday. Wouldn't it be something if two B10 schools took down 1 seeds?)

I try not to think how they think about setting lines, since they aren't saying they think duke will win by 11ish points, its more of a way to lure people in to bet and make money. 11 points is odd to me though, If it had been anymore I would probably put a little on michigan due to our liking to play good teams close but not win. But not sure at 11.....

If the Fab 5 doc didn't get their attention, I'm sure a 30 point win will.

But Beilein will have his team ready, too. It'll be close. Closer than 11.

Huh. That seems like a bit much. Michigan played well and if it carries over to Sunday good things could happen. On the other hand, Duke is Duke. They're talented, athletic, and well coached.
I'm picking Duke to win, but Michigan covers the spread.
I hate Duke.

We just better hope Morgan and Jr. don't get in early foul trouble again. I have a hard time imagining the bench playing so strong across the board against Duke. At the same time, Morris is due for a much better game, imo.
