Trey Burke deserves a nickname

Submitted by Erik_in_Dayton on

Here are my suggestions (which, for the literal-minded, are not necessarily meant to be taken seriously - you've been warned):

Nails

Trey of Ann Arbor, the Never-Squeamish

Blue Velvet

The Mulholland Driver

Lefty

The Death Dealer - of Death

Poncho

Baron von Quicksilver

Jelly Roll Morton

Ralph Biggum

Quetzalcoatl, Jr.

Diamond Joe

Vice Duke Heinrich Wilhelm Laggenthorpe III, the Destroyer of Dreams

Leadbelly

Spartan Killer

The Impressively Mature Young Man

Justice Brandeis

---Any additions?

How about Alphonso Clark III?

And an amazing, insightful little nugget of informatino from a BTN commentator: "Hey did you know that Trey Burke wasn't named "Trey" because of his ability to shoot 3-pointers?"

Genius.

FWIW in my humble opinion nicknames cannot be created, they simply happen and they stick.  In many cases the nickname has really nothing to do with anything significant but rather something stupid someone was doing and caught doing by friends.

"Manufactured" nicknames usually come across like the guy who laughs too hard at an unfunny joke by his boss.  To me anyways......
