Tom Brady appreciation thread

Next week will be his 11th AFC Title game, and record 6th in a row. That is absolutely mind boggling. I can't imagine anyone ever comes close to equaling that feat.

One step closer.

In the Super Bowl era:

- Pats have 6 consecutive AFC championship game appearances.

- Lions made the playoffs 3 consecutive years. No, really: '93-'94, '94-'95, & '95-'96 (shocking, I know).

such arm strength

so much swagger

Tom Brady was boring - just made all the right plays and lead the team on comabacks - where was the style!

seriously though - I would have bet my world that Henson would have a better pro career in baseball or football than Brady

The Texans' pass rush is no joke. Tom took some punishment last night and still managed to hang tough in the pocket and even throw a block when needed. Another solid playoff win.

Tom Brady is unambiguously the greatest QB of all time.

There are some people that say Montana or Bradshaw were better because they were undefeated in Super Bowls.  Montana and Bradshaw are 4-0 in Super Bowls while Brady is 4-2.

But those people are missing the following point:  Tom Brady lost those 2 extra Super Bowls because he played in those 2 extra Super Bowls.  Montana and Bradshaw did not play in those 2 extra Super Bowls because they lost earlier in the Playoffs and did not even make the Super Bowl.

What's worse . . . a Super Bowl loss, or a loss earlier in the Playoff that keeps you from even reaching the Super Bowl?

Montana and Bradshaw still had "those same two losses", theirs were just in the earlier Playoff rounds.

It's not really 4-0 vs. 4-2 . . . it's de-facto 4-2 vs. 4-2, with their "2's" being much worse.

Brady = GOAT.

I think winning is the most important aspect of judging/ranking these All-Time QBs... But I also think the statistical aspect matters as well. Marino probably would've been considered the GOAT at the time, or at least in the conversation had he won just 1 of them because of the ridiculous numbers he was putting up. When it's all said and done, Tom will be at the very top from the winning aspect, and probably no less than 2nd in every passing category. I think Drew Brees will be the one that tops all of the lists, but largely due to the fact that the Saints have regressed again, playing from behind a ton, abandoning the run, which is leading to 5K yards & 35+ TD season after 5K yards & 35+ TD season. #1 in wins/rings + #2 in passing = GOAT & #1 in all of our hearts.

Yes, I root for the Pats. Mostly because of Brady. Of course. But I love how they do it. Scrub, no-name or castoff WRs and RBs -- doesn't matter -- Billy B gets the most out of these guys year after year. His game-planning is masterful.

I'd love to see Tommy hoisting another trophy next month, grinning into the camera. A big "fuck you" to Roger Goodell.

Side note: I've got the Steelers winning a close one today in KC, 24-20.

Lions fan, so clearly rooting for the GOAT every year is the only joy I can get out of the playoffs. Hope he does it again.

Tom Brady improves every other player on the offense by his presence and attitude alone.  His ability to put the ball on target so the WRs can run after catch is one of the biggest keys to his physical play.

Brady has done it for nearly 20 seasons.  Amazing.

The Patriots need to play alot better next Sunday against the Steelers than they did on Saturday.  At times it looked like the Pats OL was trying to get Brady killed.  At other times Brady could have done a crossword while waiting for his WR to get open.
