Solomon/247 CB Update

Perusing 247 and saw JC Shurburtt just CB'd Solomon to Alabama. Obviously not great, but should be noted that while Shurburtt is a well-regarded insider, his accuracy rating is only 59%.

Yeah I saw that CB pick earlier this morning but was hoping it's one guy trying to get ahead of the game in case he does pick Bama.  I don't want to go into full panic mode unless a bunch start flooding in.  Ever since Solomon said he was going to start to tell coaches I've been constantly refreshing 247 hoping not to see a flooding of CB picks to Bama.

Being as that may, marginal at best. And when comparing acceptance rates between the two, you could speculate there be a far lesser success rate due to the higher standards at UM. But there is not, which means UM does a better job with student success support than Alabama.

Does anyone know how graduation rate is calculated, particularly as it relates to football players?

Seems like you would have to remove any early NFL draftees. There's also a coach in stability factor as it relates to stability / continuity (e.g., more transfers associated with coaching turnover).

The point is that Saban's tenure and the nature of Alabama vs, Michigan's program is not comparable on the same basis. Not to say these metrics won't improve under JH, but he's only been here 2 years.

I thought I read a quote from Solomon say that he had been keeping it to himself, but was going to begin sharing his decision with some others this weekend. I'd attribute the quote if I could reall where I read it. While I hope it's not, this CB could be that info starting to bleed out.

I'd have mixed emotions getting a dude who posted "F**k Michigan" and I don't buy the "He's just a kid"  argument either. It doesn't take a genius to CB away from us after that.  Its also a testament to JH's nature that he still recriuted him afterward, but this ship has sailed.
