How are iowa and purdue ahead of us?
And I thought everyone said this msu roster is pure garbage (they couldn't even land an oakland university transfer among others) and gave up trying in the portal.

Why don’t you go discuss this on the RCMB where you belong?

Needed to score more in Kenpom time in the Europe trip, clearly.

Hard to make much of this; Michigan could be anywhere from wild good to mediocre, as I see it. They're my team, though, so I will be following with interest.

Looks like a strongly worded email from Illinois AD Josh Whitman is in order. /s

Indiana only that high up because of returning minutes. They’re my favorite but I think they’re more likely to be mediocre than win the conference. Not a lot of separation between teams. Which is about what most expect.

Why are they your favorite, if you think they'll be mediocre?

He is a big Kevin Bacon fan.

Because they have more knowns than the other team. They’d be my favorite but that speaks more to the uncertainty of other teams.
I said I think they’re more likely to have a mediocre season like last year than they are to win the title. Doesn’t mean I think either is likely.

Thanks for posting this - it's good content. I usually love me some good Kenpom discussion.
Please take no offense, but I'm feeling very happy that I'm not deeply interested in this right now. Football has basically all my attention, for which I'm grateful.
I remember the years when basketball season couldn't come soon enough. Glad we're not in one of those times!

You mean, "no defense".

So according to this, we have the toughest opening-night opponent in the entire Big Ten - No. 155 Purdue Fort Wayne. Does that mean our Kenpom bump will be better than everyone else’s Kenpom bump if we’re somehow able to win that game?

Lots of parity, it would appear.

Maybe, but I'm not sure we even know that. We just know there are lots of unknowns. Yrs, Cap Weinberger.

The energy around this year's basketball team isn't very...energetic. Things feel a bit stagnant, no?

Decent energy around the current crew; it may be recruiting you mean to reference.
