OT- It's Friday! What's in your glass?

Submitted by Abomb4480 on

The weekend is here, what's everybody drinking? I am sipping on a few limited Blue Moon Samplers. Not the best, but for a mass produced beer, not too bad. Currently having a Short Straw Red Ale. Interested to hear what everyone's having on the longest day of the year...

Nice!  For the strength, it's a pretty robust scotch and the sherry cask helps with the finish while keeping the bite away.  Looking to move on to a more peaty scotch tonight...perhaps an Ardbeg 10 or a Laphroaig 12.  The night is still young.

in Richmond last week. Tastes a little like Newcastle to my somewhat undiscerning palate. Long time since I gave much thought to these things, but it was so delicious with my meatloaf at the River City Diner there (recommended) that when I saw one on the shelf in the place where we breakfasted, I plumped for it.

I'm not sure why you're so butt-hurt (sp?) but, dude, seriously, have some scotch.  Your liver will thank you for it and maybe, just maybe, you will not be so much of a douche.*

It's not too dry, but not too sweet. I was a little skeptical because of the price, but I figured if I was gonna buy something expensive it would be TwentyFour. It is a step up from my usual Gnarly Head. TwentyFour Sauvignon Blanc is only $20 before shipping and taxes if you can't see yourself paying $150 for a bottle of wine.

from CJs Brewing in Commerce Twp, MI.  Growler fills are only $4.50 on Tuesdays, whether you are a mug club member or not.  The beer and food are terrific, and whoever does the hiring has a good eye.  Drink up me hardies, yo ho!
