OT: Free Beer Courtesy of Matt Prater
Apparently Bud Light promised free beer for the city whose kicker kicked the longest field goal, between Matt Prater and Broncos kicker Brandon McManus .
No idea how to collect your free beer, since the article didnt state it .
Maybe someone wants to be a hero and share how with the rest of us .

It's Bud Light, so just get a glass of tap water and you'll get the same experience.

No true beer fan would ever turn down free beer

I fail to see how this is relevant in a thread about bud light

No true beer fan would ever touch a Bud Light

It's my beach beer. Helps me stay hydrated.

I can only drink one Bud Light, otherwise they give me a headache. My go to cheap beer is PBR. Drinking a homebrew oatmeal stout at the moment. Got a Belgian trippel waiting for bottling right now.?
Cheers!!

I remember pbr, but the majority of my family and friends are Vietnamese, so to drink any beer other than Heineken or bud light is verboten. It's one of the reasons I mostly drink whiskey.

We call PBRs breakfast beers. What we generally start with for early tee times.

Never has a city and a blog needed it more than this one.

It's probably some shitty beer like Bud Light or something, pass...
EDIT: didn't read any comments before making this one, huh!

Odd spokesman. Didn't Prater have a serious drinking problem a few years ago?

Fact. While he was a member of the Denver Broncos.

My first thought, too.

Man, as a recovering alcoholic, I would think this would be hilariously ironic to be in Prater's shoes.
I've actually been in a meeting with a guy who has a craft beer named after him, so it could always be worse.
FWIW, I have never met anybody with a "serious drinking problem" recover by moving locations.

You know a guy named Sam Adams?!? WHAT ARE THE ODDS?!?!

Lions have always been strong at an absolutely vital position - Kicker.

"Lions have always been strong at an absolutely vital position - Kicker."
Except when it's been absolutely vital to actually make a critical kick.

I still remember watching that live as a kid like it was yesterday.

New year's eve, 1983. I was thinking what could it be but it came back to me before opening the link. I was a recent Michigan grad and headed back for a new year's eve party. I pulled into the apartment complex and my buddy yells off the balcony to RUN up the stairs to watch the next play. So I scrambled up the stairs just quick enough to see Mont Clark with prayer hands and then the miss. I then drank heavily.

I was like, "WHOA! THIS WON'T BE GOOD." But then I was like, "Oh, cheap promotional gag. Makes more sense now."

Forget it. Bud sucks

Anyone remember the kicker that tried out for the Leo’s prior to Prater signing in 2014? Days after coming up to Detroit Rob Bironas had drunken road rage incidents followed by a fatal car crash near his Nashville home. A tragic end for a guy who had a very good career in the NFL.

i thought that being cut by the Titans then rejected by the Lions had something to do with it. But according to this write up his agent was still awaiting word from Detroit after Bironas said he had a great workout.

I hope he offers a Molson.
