I was back there just a few weeks ago taking field notes for a project...
I also noticed that somebody put fiber lines on my steel poles (yes, mine, for I designed them) at Packard and Division for the first time too. Asshole, whoever it is.....

I'm not from the area and didnt go to
<br>Michigan, what's average rent like around AA?

I'd say around $500 a bedroom or so, increasing with fewer occupants.
Also, I used to live in that house! There was also a shooting there last year. But, it's a great place and the landlord is very friendly.

Of a shooting where you lived, and your username.

My soph year my friends and I were looking for a place and we didn't start till either January or February and we still found some decent places. If you're looking for prime real estate, that was probably mostly gone within the first few weeks of the leasing cycle. If you're just looking for a place, you'll survive, but I would definitely start shopping the A2 housing market right about now

I've signed leases in October, and I've signed leases in April. I would not recommend doing April, as it can be stressful, but there are bunch of good apartments still available now. If you only have one or two roommates, it won't be difficult at all. 4 people or more is really difficult this time of year.

This was the most interesting thing on this board the whole day.
Now I'm invested. You have to let us know what you got and how it compared to pre-season projections.

We're definitely going to need some charts (and maps, complete with circles and arrows ... ).

For having a major that exclusively held classes in the CCRB and the Observatory Lodge, living up on North Campus 3 out of my 4 years was pretty sweet. Made a nice separation of work and play.
That being said, if you dare to venture that far north, there's Parc Pointe Apts who are pretty laid back and always have vacancies. Not the nicest place, but it was just dandy my final year.

829 Tappan, it's on the same street as the Tri-Delt house. The apartments on the 3rd floor are very spacious, though Zaragon they are not. You can fit 2-4 in the two bedrooms.
I got into a lease in January, a few years back another friend got one there in August (not recommended).
If you want a fancy place definitely look elsewhere, but the convenience of location really can't be beat if you're in LSA.
Good luck to you!

You and yes I'm lsa I'll look into it, how much was the lease?
December 15th, 2011 at 9:30 AM ^
something like $1400 for a 2 bedroom.
I split my room with a friend, though, so my rent was ~ $360.
Heating is included, which is really nice.

Your a little late. A good goal is to start looking at housing right when the school year begins and to sign by early october. You'll be able to find some places, it just probably won't be your first choice.

Like others have said- if you want the really best locations and nicest homes on campus you've gotta start your search in September or October. But if you want to live a little farther away (8-10 minute walk) you can search now or even in the summer. The prices will be a lot cheaper (houses desperately trying to get filled). I guarantee you there will be places available next July, with Landmark and Zaragon West being built this year. My roommates and I found our last house in July and looked at a few others before deciding on it. I found the house I'm living in now in early September!

Zaragon west is already accepting leases. I highly reccomend this place if you can afford it. Brand new facilities ( contracted to local businesses- if you care) and the location is sweet. Good luck.

Signed for a house on Dewey Street about 3 weeks ago and it was literally the last decent house that was reasonably priced we could find. Good luck in your search
