Nebraska, Minnesota, even Illinios going to bowls as 5-7 teams
Weird gets weirder.
The number of teams with at least 6 wins won't fill the number of available bowl slots, so, some 5-7 teams will be going bowling, and it's based on the most recent APR scores.
That means:
Nebraska IS going bowling. Their streak (44 in 46 yrs) is "intact."
Minnesota IS going bowling.
Illinois might be going, depending on results this weekend.

As the article says, Missouri passed, as they need a coach.

with less than 6 wins should just stay home. It meant that you sucked this season and you should not get any rewards! Why the hell not let every team go to a bowl. We could call them participation bowls!

Are you even making any money going to a bowl game at 5-7? Those December 19 bowls are attended and watched by nobody. No 5-7 team should be in a bowl.

"Illinios" sounds like off-brand Cheerios sold in Champaign.

B1G fans travel very well to bowls. Everybody knows that, especially the local economies of the bowls

I would rather much rather watch +.500 FBS teams take on some FCS teams that got knocked out of the FCS tournament. For example: McNeese State > Illinois.

Why couldn't have this happened in 2009. That team really could have used the extra bowl practices.
