If our OLine is above average, Higdon should start.  If our OLine is below average, Evans should start.

Higdon is faster and stronger.  He can hit the hole and get by arm tackles.

Evans has the agility and vision to find his own hole when not much is there.

As weird as it sounds, who gets more time may be based on how good/bad our OLine is at run blocking.  Both are excellent runners though.

I haven't seen anything on any of the pay sites.  I do know they are all on campus & participating in practices.  It's super early still for true freshman, especially at a position where we have some experience coming back.

McCray, Bush & Hudson have the starting spots locked down, and there's a few guys who are OK players in the upper classes who can spell the starters reasonably well (Wroblewski, Wangler, Furbush, etc.).

Bottom line is they aren't making that much noise, but I don't read that as being a problem at all.  It's just that it's early & we have the luxury of a pretty good 2 deep.

I assume at some point most of them will see the field if the "bonfire of the red-shirts" last year ends up becoming a tradition each year.  Then most of those red shirts will get re-instated if some of guys end up getting "injured" in the early part of the season.

They need to amp up reps for UF game this week. My biggest concern isn't with who starts, rather, can all these offensive weapons come together as a high-functioning team. That is going to take alot of time and the first team needs mega reps. The defense looks set and will be dynamite - can't wait to see the blitz packages unleashed on UF's new QB ... I wouldn't want to be that guy on Sept 2.

A.  Because in the eyes of the court & in the eyes of Harbaugh, his case has been satisfactorily resolved.  He was entered into a diversion program & he's serving a probationary period.  As long as he gets through it OK, my understanding is that his record will be wiped clean.  I assume he's on a much shorter leash now & if there are any additional issues I'm assuming he won't be getting a 3rd chance.  Remember Harbaugh doesn't take this sort of thing lightly.  He got rid of LTT due to some shenanigans, and in my view LTT was much more critical to the future of the program than Perry is/was.  Plus we don't know what kind of "extra" punishment Harbaugh ended up dolling out on the kid.

B.  Because he's a damned good slot receiver.  McDoom strikes me as quicker & more athletic. But Perry (since his shaky ealry 2015 debut) has become a very solid route runner with sure hands, and developed into a good safety valve option for Speight during last season.  Perry won't rip off a 20+ yard catch & run, but he'll snag a 7 yarder in traffic to get the 1st down.  I haven't seen McDoom do that much yet.

Not sure how to feel about Vilain not being mentioned. Probably shouldn't feel anything one way or the other. That was interesting to me, though.

Always find funny how folks who get bent out of shape over a guy grabbing a girl's butt don't when a girl does it and furthermore then proceed to explain how it should be a big deal because men are different than women -- spent last 30 years hearing about how women want to be equal ... except when they want preferences. Female has consensual sex with a minor, eh.  Man does it, gas chamber.

So if all Perry did was grab buttocks and run from the cops ... sounds like a great night from the 90s/80s/70s/60s.  All is forgiven so long as not a trend.
