Michigan 3rd most picks in draft
with 9. Alabama and Georgia with 10 each. Not too shabby.

We just beat them by 22 at their place. We are winning big.
OSU does a good job with wr, they rarely disappoint, but whiff comically with QB, and CB especially, which always underwhelm.

Oh, I forgot btw:
Ben Herbert.
The Patriots released a video the other night of Uche talking about his journey to becoming a draft pick and he specifically mentioned how Ben Herbert coming to Michigan made an impact.
This man is the best in the business.
He might be. But Scott Cochran at Georgia might be better. I know he's called the special teams coordinator at Georgia. But he was S&C coach at Alabama from 2007 to 2019. Then he left Alabama and went to Georgia in 2020 as special teams coach. And, it just so happens that after 2020 is when Georgia began their rise over Alabama, and Alabama took a step down. I read "the bridge is burned" between Saban and Cochran. So even if Alabama realized they needed him back, it won't happen. I looked for what the "bridge burning" was. But couldn't find anything. Though I did read Cochran had a drinking problem for a while. Could that be it?
Anyway, I do hope Ben Herbert is the best in the business.
Cochran isn't better than Herbert. It's 5 stars vs 3 and 4 stars he gets.
former Michigan players were drafted too. does 6 degrees of Michigan count?
Wh were the former Michigan players?
I just went through the entire draft and saw only one former Michigan player—Charbonnet.
Let’s talk about player development and reaching their potential.
Hard work pays off.
Congraulations to all the young men.

Interesting that this thread has (had....when it changes) 45 comments and the Rich Eisen one above it has 23 comments.
45 to 23......now, isn't that something......

looking at OSU's picks vs UM's, 4 Buckeye picks were super talented 5 stars that were going to get drafted no matter no matter what.
UM on the other hand
Schoonmaker, 3 *, was the No. 35 ranked tight end. He was the 5th TE taken.
DJ Turner, 3*, the 455 ranked player and was taken in the 2nd round.
Mike Morris, 247 3*, the No. 36 DE,
Ryan Hayes, Rivals 3*, the 51st OT
Ronnie Bell, 3*, the 159th-rated receiver.
Also of note is that these guys had different coaches. Newsome, Clinkscale, Elston, Moore, Bellamy and Jay Harbaugh all got guys drafted.
It really speaks to the depth and quality of the entire coaching staff, their insight to recognize talent where others don't, and their ability as coaches to unlock their potential.

Not too shabby is right. And next year we might break the record. I hope I'm the only one nervous about losing 24 guys after next season.
Compared against our recruiting rankings this is incredible, especially with the OSUs and Clemsons out there. Our staff knows talent and knows how to cultivate it. Go Blue.
