MBB - Brandon Johns Has Sprained Ankle
Hate to be the bearer of bad news but the Daily just ran a story that Brandon Johns has been spotted wearing a walking boot and the team confirmed he has an ankle sprain. No other update given. Just hope it isn’t the dreaded ‘high ankle sprain’....

Well that isnt the greatest of news considering the season is officially 16 days away and we need all of the talent we can get on the floor.

Besides an ACL tear - I don’t know if there’s a worse injury. Seems like the high ankle sprain takes all year from which to recover. DPJ still looks a step slower and Ross has been out for what - 4 weeks?

Yep-but apparently at Bama you can have surgery and be back in less than 4 weeks. Tua did it last year and did the other one this year.

Not good news. His improvement this year is critical for our success.

Looks like I'll have to come out of retirement to help the team. Hate to do it, but with this news, it's a necessity!

So noble of you, Benzolamas. If they contact you to play, you can mention that I've still got all 4 years of my college eligibility left.
AND, statistically I shot better than Michael Jordan or Steph Curry. I made a point a minute my final year in high school, 4 points in 4 minutes played (all season).

I mean basketball is a little meaningless until big ten play so hes got time to recover before then. Hopefully its just precautionary

No prob. He should be back in two weeks after the "Tua" procedure.

Sounds about right.

High ankle sprains aren't common to basketball. You see them much more often in football which involves big people diving into your legs while you wear cleats on grass or turf. Basketball action is more likely to result in an inversion of the "lower" ankle, i.e. the actual ankle joint.

That's good to hear. I think I still have PTSD from Caris' ankle injury a few years ago.

Out a month minimum. I hope that son of a bitch doesn’t linger too long
