Big 10 only has three teams in this year’s top 25, with Indiana at 13 and Illinois at 23 in addition to us at 22.

That actually seems pretty fair.
I would put us in the 20-25 range until we see what some of the new parts can do and how it all gels.

that holds true for half the big ten. i can't see any top big ten teams, yet a bunch between 10-25.

MSU, Minnesota, Maryland all unusually wet farts. Iowa with an average offense is laughable and I've heard nothing about Wisconsin making noise.

Buried at the bottom of this release is the reminder that sometimes you gotta be careful with words you attach to certain programs:
The season begins for most teams Nov. 7, but as usual, the first meeting of heavyweights will be the Champions Classic on Nov. 15 in Indianapolis: No. 4 Kentucky plays Michigan State, unranked in the preseason poll for the second year in a row, before No. 5 Kansas plays No. 7 Duke in the nightcap.
MSU's last title win is entering grad school right now but glad to see the big-time programs still let them hang out with them early on.

I'm honestly a little surprised they're ranked. I figured they'd get some votes and be top 30ish maybe top 35. There a lot of unknowns on this team so who knows how they'll look. The conference is down this year so we should be able to make the top 4 regardless.
This team has a lot of potential so maybe it's good they're starting off low.
