MaxPreps High School Football All-America Team
Not sure how accurate MaxPreps is but Michigan is well represented with 3 first team selections including a no brainer (D. Edwards), a surprise (J. McBurrows), and a special teamer (T. Doman). Well done.

Nice to see how many of those players signed with Alabama. The parity in college football really is something

OSU only had 1 player, total from 1st and 2nd teams.

Bama owns the lineman. Oregon doing well in that category as well

A name for the All-Name Team:
For all of their combined success over the last few seasons, OSU and Clemson have a combined 3 players on the First Team squads.

Marquis Crosby, second-team RB:
"Led nation with 3,678 yards rushing, adding 39 total touchdowns."
Impressive.
I do wonder about an All-American team that has a Weber State (!) commit on the first team. Mr. Kjar is the #254 WR in the U.S. according to 247 Sports:
https://247sports.com/player/noah-kjar-46099436/
Does the person who made the list live in Draper, Utah? Two of Kjar's teammates (higher up on 247's list, at least) are on it:

That is a very good observation. Kjar specifically stood out on the list and made me wonder if Michigan should be recruiting him. Maybe its home cooking. Maybe he is the next Cooper Kupp.

Looking at Kjar’s teammates at Corner Canyon ATH Jackson Light and QB Jaxson Dart both we’re ranked fairly low before receiving massive boosts from the recruit ranking websites. On 11/30/20 Dart went from 412 to 187 and Light went from 470 to 179. So while there is a possibility Kjar has D1 potential I’m guessing there’s either a speed problem or route running problem. You also have to factor in wether or not Kjars gone to any camps as I’m guessing the level of competition Corner Canyon plays against isn’t the best which would scare teams from offering.

Per MaxPreps:
Selections are based on team success, individual production and local, regional and state honors from the recently-completed season. Potential at the college and professional level is not a primary consideration.

So, somewhat arbitrary ...
I'm reminded how every McDonald's AA team back in the day seemed to have at least one player from DeMatha and one from Santa Ana Mater Dei.

Nice accolades for Edwards, McBurrows, and Doman. It would have been criminal for MaxPreps to have left a 6 star punter off their AA team.

Nice to see Michigan represented here.
Its interesting that there are only 2 underclassmen. I thought there may be a couple more.
The big question I have about this leg cannon that we are getting on this list: Can he hold like Garret Moores? Our placekicking game hasn't been the same since he left.

No, I'm sorry, the answer is Moops.

I think it was Mcburrows film i had liked. Whenever ball was in air he was going after it instead of the wr. Love that.
